Sashaying With Grace

Grace is my treasured companion, canine with four legs and a giant heart.

She sashays in all the ways, sense’s reading currents, attuned to the whisper
Of something new, waiting for air, or light, or touch,
 to stimulate,
for the world to press its weight, past her reach, into her mind,
into her soul,

of this creature as large as truth and ephemeral as life.

Eye’s brightly burning in the hunt; movement tugs vision to itself and pierces
the mural of the world,
 awaiting resolution, for good or ill be embraced, welcomed;
as revealed, hailed well met, warm the heart or sharpen the glint,
a dance as eternal as the first life and will for ever be,
there is that,
and there is me…
I hope, and with that give color to a world that may be without,
It warns of hope, youth has held but lost as time has sped
And as sadness trued,

I hold a flag trampled and tattered and frayed and warped and wrecked and stomped
And yet,
Hold…
 still,

alone…………….
For ever I am
Only defined by the self only I breathe and see and feel for,
No other can I pretend to be as no God
Am I………….
Would you presume…………
Are you more than self…….
Are you more than you are…………………..?
demanded of in the daily shuffle?
Slumbering as infinity tocks in moments insensibly ignored.
What a great and wondrous gift captured my life,
This small grace gifting the infinite…
