Whats So Funny About a Kid

Some kids look funny;
while, others just look.

Their eyes and ears in
juxtaposition, leaves little
to the imagination.

Maybe, what they are all about
is simply fun and play

They test the world,
in ways that only someone
with an underdeveloped mind could,

creating havoc here and there;
while, having the times of their lives

Children run, leap and cry
to anyone who'll care.

unaware, that soon,
they will become us!

Moving Mountains

To live life as one really means it,
Is to ignore all TEMPTATIONS,
ignoring troubled times
 saying that the rhyme and
the rhythm, created by
them

Moving Mountains, overcoming all obstacles,
can be larger than ‘life’, constituting more troubles,
but troubles can lead to goal attainment.
goal attainment, is where genuine fulfillment lies

Satisfaction lies.

If living life; is loving life, then why
All of the many distractions?
Distracting from what?
True Love!. It... can never die

A Day With God

A day with God

They invited me to church;
where, I found many people.

People of all sorts;
both caring and loving,

one another; as well as
Christ and the Pastor.

As he began to speak,
the congregation became silent.

He gave a sermon that won't, soon, be forgotten;
its content, bringing light and hope to us all

But, what could outsiders do,
if they weren't to attend
GOD only knows!

Memo

Although a period has no real jurisdiction,
It has substantial reason and purpose.

Bringing to mind its’ weight in space,
as well as, on paper.

What this solitary mark does,
Enables a pause.

Indicating ultimate culmination, this mark competes, only with
the colon, leaving nothing more to say,

Unless it is to filch some jurisdiction from its’ fellow marks;
none of which, can lawfully tell.

This period reeks of authority!

Call of the Wild

Being as wild as wild comes,
             he came and Tucked his
             weary head INTO MY BED!
             My, what fun we had.

              with his popsicle,
              we ate ravenously.
              was it real or was it in fun?
              I had, yet to find out!

              What would he do
              if he only knew,
              what his love meant?
              True or False, we felt!

Pancakes

The Pancake poem

      Pouring batter in the pan,
      brought wild anticipation

      Dappling tiny dabs,
      of what I thought was mere batter,
      only peaked my senses.

      The pancakes grew in numbers;
       while my taste buds
        nestled with satisfaction

         Peaking my senses,
         only, prompted more pancakes

         Could I ever hope to make such
        creations of perfection again

My Dad, Bill

A conservative guy was he,
keeping to himself and
not oft, initiating verse with others.

Working hard at everything he pursued,
Bill attained a sort of wealth,
to be felt and not seen.

After all, he did have a family.
It was not supposed to matter
how many things a man had.

but, more what he practiced,
what he consumated,
before he died.

Leaving behind two beautiful girls,
many vehicles and a wife, Bill passed
at an early age.

Adjustment to the loss
came easily for the girls,
However 'twas mortifying to wife/ mother,

The Garden

It started as distant, faint rays of sunshine ; whose beauty brought serenity. Still the day was shining brightly This lead to her feelings of utter joy and excitement

Carla cucumber was running for captain of the Vegy team; when, she became combined with a couple of cauliflower sprigs
