Out With the Old,In With the New

Brittany Bailey
To create something new,
You must abolish that of the old,
In order for things to grow,
There are seeds for you to sow.
You cannot go from nothing-
To something
In the blink of an eye.
You won’t get from here -
To there if you won’t try.
So let it all out -
Plant something new.
You never know what you can find to be true.

Wherever I May Roam

Wherever I may roam,
Wherever I may go,
May you always know,
That in this heart I carry home.
I can only go so far,
I can only travel so wide,
Until someday I come back,
right here back by your side.
Even on the days we may seem apart,
But only by distance,
Never by heart.
I just hope you always know,
that no matter where I end up,
or where I go,
I will always find my way back home
From wherever I may roam

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time-
A dream hoped to come true-
The Cinderella story,
You hoped would happen to you
The ringing of the bells-
Where everything would change.
The cry of your heart-
Would bring a fairy of no name.
The flick of a wand-
That would change your situation
A pumpkin and a carriage,
To change your destination.
But your life is not a fairy-tale-
A happy ever after waiting to come true.
Your life is not a story book-
Your life is written by you.
Flick your own wand
To change your on destination.
Take the story of a fairy-tale-
And make it your own demonstration.

-January 26th
So Write your own fairy tail
Dream your own dream
Make your story-
Better than what it seems

No Heart and Every

Darkness.
An empty void.
Configurating powers of nothingness-
A place where no light exist,
No eye can see,
And no heart should go.
Shimmer.
In the distance-
Shimmer. Shimmer. Shimmer.
A sense of hope shimmering
A thing you can see-but can't touch
False hope- mocking
And shimmering
Light
Empty of voids
Configurating patterns of everything
Explosions of life
A place where all hope exist-
Where every eye can see,
And every heart should go.

Today Is the Day

Today is the day
Brittany Bailey
Today is the day that is new
Where the grass radiates green,
And the sky manifests blue.
Anything is possible on this day,
You can chose to walk in any which way.
You can choose to go left,
Or you can choose to go right.
You can choose the light-
Or you can hide in the night,
But where ever you go,
And whatever you do.
Make sure it’s a reflection of you.

The Beauty of You and Me

I looked upon the ocean,
Gandering at the sea,
I began to notice,
How it reflects you and me
Life is just a mystery.
You don’t see what goes on inside.
All these forms of life
That you don’t get from the outside.
To notice the life that’s there –
You have to go down deep
Looking past all the bad –
All the mess, all the heap.
So next time you’re at the ocean –
No matter you’re mess or your location.
Remember to look out at the sea,
And see the beauty of life
Inside of you and inside of me.

I Believed a Lie

I believed a lie
I believed it till that day
The lie that you'd come back
The lie that you would stay

I believed a lie
The lie that you loved me
I believed a lie
The lie that you where finally free

I believed a lie
The lie that you really changed
 I believed the lie
The lie that you really weren't the same

I believed a lie
But now I know what's true
I believed a lie
I believed in you

I Am a Writer

I sit as I drag my pin across the page,
Dreaming in my heart of all the things to say,
The places I could go-
The things I could be
As a writer,all the possibilities
I could travel to the east,
Or all the way to the west,
I could gaze upon the mountains,
Or watch the sun set.
I could go to the moon
Or fall upon the stars
Your imagination never goes to far.
No distance is too far-
No land is too wide,
For a writer to reveal the dreams that rest inside
