Jennifer Mcdonald Poem
I REMEMBER IN KINDERGARTEN ,I CRIED FOR YOU EVERYDAY.
AND WHENEVER I HAD A BUMP OR BRUISE YOU'D KISS THE PAIN AWAY.
WHEN I COULDN'T SLEEP YOU'D COMFORT ME AND STROKE YOUR HAND
THROUGH MY HAIR,
AND QUIETLT I'D FALL ASLEEP, KNOWING YOU'D ALWAYS BE THERE.
WHEN I'M HURTING YOU HELP ME THROUGH AND WIPE AWAY ALL MY TEARS.
AND WHEN I'M SCARED YOU HOLD MY HAND AND MAKE ME FACE MY FEARS.
YOU STAY AWAKE AND COMFORT ME WHEN I'M FIGHTING WARS WITHIN
MYSELF.
YOU'RE ALWAYS READY FOR BATTLE, YOU'RE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP!
YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PROBLEMS, AND SOMETIMES THEY'RE THE WORST;
BUT WHEN IT COMES TO FAMILY, YOU ALWAYS PUT US FIRST!!!!!!!

Jennifer Mcdonald Poem
What would you see if you looked through a child's eyes?
The world would be a mystery,
Just one big surprise.
What do they feel when holding daddy's hand?
They would feel ruggedness and hard work,
The sign of a man.
What do they hear when listening to mommy's lullaby?
They hear a soft, calming voice,
That they know would never lie.
What do they smell when walking in ma maw's front door?
They smell chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, and more.
They'll remember playing house with their sister,
Or racing cars with their Bro.
And they'll look back on these memories,
As each year they grow.
They remember papaw's songs and him playing the guitar.
And they'll recall stories of the war,
That he told them in the car.
They'll remember Christmas, the family, and the sight.
But they probably won't remember,
What all new toys that they got.
They remember love,
Which will help them through their life.
And they'll pass that love on to their children,
And their husband or their wife!
