Michael Plantamura Poem
Her skins as soft as a baby angel
I love her hair each silky strand
When she smiles like one million candles warm
I long to hold her hand
Now i know of love and have felt it's touch
just but once upon my heart
Yet this woman has touched me this very way
right from the very start
But all we love is not ours to have
not to hold to taste or touch
So there is sadness amidst the joy i feel of wanting you so much
Yet I wont arrest my need for love and joy
these two things i hold so dear
So I will allow myself to feel the gentle warmth
which greets me when you are near

Michael Plantamura Poem
The life we choose the choices we make
Knowing how much to give knowing how much to take
Now this equation is not simple at least not for me to ascribe
For a lifetime worth of pain and not once have I cried
It's not remedies or reason for this affliction which I seek
For I am pleased with the joys I have given while not needing to weep
Yet I cant help but wonder though as yet I have not tried
Would my life had been much different were I able to cry
For I have seen the results of tears when they are freely shed
How embraces would soon follow with soft strokes to ones head
Now I can love and be tender without much effort or strain
Yet I am unable to give comfort when tears fall like the rain
But I will always be loving and Gods gifts to me I will share
And maybe the day I meet him in heaven will be the day I shed my tear

Michael Plantamura Poem
She's the one I care to be with
The one I trust to hold my heart
I love her touch so soft and tender
Even when she's gone where not apartNow pain is just one fact of life
uncertainty a given
When I first held and felt her warm embrace
I was no longer just alive but living
From the day we leave our mothers womb
We search for a new place to feel secure
Yet until you came into my life
Of such a place I was never sure
But now I no of such a place
It's no longer secret I need no clue
It can be my brightest day or darkest night
As long as im with you

Michael Plantamura Poem
Thinking of why I want you,Why I need to feel your touch
It's a feeling sweet and tender'that I enjoy so much
Just to see you smile makes my heart skip a beat
And when you touch me with your lips.chills run from my lips down to my feet
When we walk the street and I hold your hand It's a feeling so secure
As if my heart was sick and lonely and in you I found the cure
So now when I hold and pull you close to me
It feels so very special because it's the place I long to be

Michael Plantamura Poem
There are many things in life which I know to be true
The love I feel inside me is one but of a few
Having searched so long and hard for love in you I've found the prize
It's a feeling gifted to souls who care and it's essence never dies
The power it ignites in me is impossible to describe
I just know that when I think of you my heart explodes with pride
Quiet times ill sit and think of you and the things you give to me
As if I've been blind my life and now your love is a vision to me
These words of love come easy to me because of you
For two truly right the deepest words of love the hearts needed equals two
So thank you on this special day which has been set aside for passion
For my love for you is the truest kind and not of whim or fashion

Michael Plantamura Poem
It is not so much the life we choose but the live we are chosen to live it is but a time we
spend on earth trying to make what has been chosen for us into something we ourselves
design. When in fact we should embrace this gift we have been given and experience
rather than live it. So much time is spent on projections of what should and what could
have been, we neglect to enjoy the very essence of being. And so, I have come to believe
in the divine providence in as much all I can do to alter my existence will surely not change
the outcome. So, it is now that i begin my journey in Ernest to the conclusion of my time
here on earth knowing there is far greater joy in embracing this wonderful experience with
the wonder and amazement of a child rather than to defy it with the painful cynicism of time.

Michael Plantamura Poem
I was awakened slowly by a warm ray of light
Soft yet oh so radiant it pierced my darkest night
Was not the sun nor incandescence cast this piercing glow
Yet each day it shown upon me it seemed that it would grow
So amazed by it's beauty it's soft and gentle hue
Could I have found the elusive treasure sought but found by few
Now I no longer shield my eyes from the glow which love has cast
I gladly let it caress me so and hope that it will last
What could this magic glow be called the one that makes my life serene
This is the question my heart has answered I will call my love Christine

Michael Plantamura Poem
Half a lifetime spent in search of purpose we ponder every reason
In the weather cycles term of life mine came in summer season
Suddenly my eyes were a path to my heart a glimpse of life's high fashion
It was a smile you see ignited hope and awakened sleeping passion
No flash of light nor harmonic sounds just a long sought peaceful feeling
And for my aching heart a wistful lift for my soul a perfect healing
Now as the cycle goes from summer to fall I have you to share my life
And the winters chill we sometimes fear I now cherish with you my wife
So I thank the lord for this special gift he's given me to cherish
Knowing leaves will turn and snow will fall yet our love will never perish

Michael Plantamura Poem
Love is a theory a concept a thought
Yet our knowledge of concept only reflects what's been taught
It's been written and spoken
as though it's essence could be touched
yet definition of a passion
can reveal just so much
The love I have for you is none of these things
It's akin to the moment birds discover there wings
Now I have told you I love, and can say it with a word
But for love to be true it must be more than just heard
Now i can surely say that you love me, this I can do
For when you say these words to me I believe them to be true
So when I tell you I love you,you will also know this is true
And this is because you believe in me as I believe in you

Michael Plantamura Poem
Love is A book of many pages,of words and lines and stories
To extol the good and ignore the bad would diminish it's true glory
For the rush we feel when held and touched so strong in our emotion
Can be overpowered by our fear and doubts when we question our devotion
Yet as frail we be deep in our hearts, our needs outweigh our fears
So we reach for love with tender hands and gently hold it near
So each query cast for love and hope is a story to be told
Turn every page read every word let the book of love unfold
Dont put it down dont close the cover read each word with your heart
For the saddest book I have ever read ends when to lovers part.
