Fireworks

FIREWORKS (idea from Katy Perry song)
Aren't there days when you feel useless,
An ordinary human on the earth, faceless.
What are we, what is our worth?
Are our lives only sorrow, and no mirth?
Have you not looked in the mirror today?
Are you not special, bright and gay?
Don't people smile when you walk in,
Don't they clap, forgetting all your sins?
Near you, many a people lurk,
You make them smile, like a firework.
You are worth millions of money,
It Life is not only sorrow, it is only joy
You only have to open your eyes wide enough to see them boy.
You make people speechless,
They feel it, they don't confess.
As you climb on top of the sky and burst,
You're a firework baby and you'll always come first... could fill a sea.

Bored In Manhattan

He was roaming the streets of the New York borough,
To hard him every passer-by was a foe.
Boredom and apathy followed him everywhere,
Why attend his cousin's wedding when he had to pay the fare?
He traipsed wearily down Fifth Avenue, Not giving a glance at dresses new.
Broadway Avenue was not payed much heed to,
Glances spared only a few.
He looked up at the 103 storeyed Empire State Building,
Didn't even stop at Bloomingdales for a shopping fling.
Scorn on his face he passed Central Park,
Didn't cease walking to take a picture with cardboard Peeta Mellark.
The nonchalant and incurious was leaving Manhattan soon,
But he wouldn't even be happy in his own little room...
