Kargil Day

On that dark night ,
When the whole country calmly slept,
In the silence of those cold winters,
Those brave men slowly crept ,
Loaded with ammunition,
With only one ambition,
of taking back, once to the country which belonged,
Leaving behind their kiths and kins,
To proclaim victory was all what they longed.

Taking their positions,
with the country's thought,
The posts were so silent,
So nervous were the soldiers,
But as the silence broke in haste ,
Their nervousness disapeared.

Their teamwork,Their compassion,
Bravery & determination,
Paved their path towards victory.

Three months the battle lasted,
The year was ninteen ninty nine,
The Indian soldies were so devoted ,
The battle one day had to resign.

They laid their lives
for the nation's glory,
Their families cried
and the whole country was sorry.

They proclaimed Tiger hill,
The pride of kargil ,
so, in their honour kargil day is celebrated.

A Street Vendor

The sun is up, heat unbearable,
He stands there rejected and miserable,
Slowly hope he loses,
as every potential buyer refuses.
His goods remain unsold,
His misery untold.
Swiftly the night approaches,
And his hunger encroaches.
He packs up and leaves,
Despite everything, he calmly sleeps...

A Horse

Befriending the wind,
His royal mane flows,
Inexorable, spotless white, there he goes.
Galloping away freely,
Away from this ruthless world .
His eyes lively,
His happiness swirled,
Searching for his destination,
A place to where he belongs .
Looking for his designation,
He calmly longs.
Across the highlands,
Crossing the streams,
Over the mountains,
Across the fields .
His head high,
And so is his spirit .
He gives away a deep sigh,
His attitude should get a credit .

I Am India

I am the country ,
the country of variations,
the country of god
and his beautiful creations .

I am the mother ,
the mother of billions of lads ,
the mother of cultures
and religious fads.

but i am sorry ,
sorry for those ,
who feel ashamed
of being under my nose.

I am the country of rivers ,
the country of temples,
the country colours
& shimmering glters.

My civilization is extereme and vast,
people are one
even after having different colours and castes.

My children call me their motherland ,
they are the one who made me royal and grand.

My history is exiting ,
my domain is good for sighting.

I am unique
& God's own coubtry
I am the INDIAN subcontinent

My Life In Your Hands

Billions of blue blistering barnacles,
Thousands of thundering typhoons ,
All the prophecies of the oracle ,
& the sighing face of the moon ,
All sing sadly ,
All cry softly,
In the favour of my doom .

Oh, Man what have you done ,
Killed my future and even yours,
prophecies may go & come ,
But still there are left hours ,
hours for the last sunset ,
hours for the last sunrise ,
but still much time is left
to delay all those cries .

You can delay my death ,
you can delay what you fear ,
you can extend your breath ,
by making everything as earlier.

Oh , Man i beg you!
beg you for your own life,
bring back my hue ,
and put an end to this strife.

Lonely Moon

In this ocean of stars,
Stands there a single moon,
Lonely still smiling In this dark misty noon.

He looks so happy,
But his heart is sad,
As being alone can feel very bad.

Sorry

You think i dont care anymore,
You think it no longer matters,
But I am dead in the core
And my hope is shattered.

For so long you have been my best friend,
How can you think all this can come to an end.

Even if it ends,
I will preserve you in my heart,
You are there with me I'll pretend
And never let the memories tear apart.

I am sorry for what i said,
Never guessed a few words can hurt so bad.

I cant pretend anymore that i am fine without you,
The truth is I am dying without you.

What happened to those days when we were best of pals,
Thousands of texts and millions of calls.

I wish i could rewind back those happy days
And pause them right there so they would forever stay.

You can stab me or even kill me if you want ,
But please forgive me and give me another chance.

I will apologize a million times if you want me to,
A trillion??? Will that be okay to you??

This way not just a so called apology,
Nor was our friendship a so called fantasy,
Nor were you my so called best friend,
I beg you dont give all this a so called end.

My Words

The words which I write on paper,
Are the ones directly from my heart,
I just strip off my mind’s rapper,
To let go my art.

This is not my talent,
But the exhibition of my ideas,
They are not that salient,
And it’s not that they are hideous.

If you read them once,
You’ll relate them to your life,
They’ll attack you sharp as a lance,
And make you feel better by sewing away the same slice.

These are my words,
These are my phrases,
I don’t write them for the world,
I don’t write them for any praises.

Priceless Gift

When i was'nt born,
I was in the heven's lawn,
I was with the God,
I know that sounds quite odd,
Before comming to earth ,
Or where i was going to take birth,
I asked god for a gift,
A gift which was not too heavy to lift,
God said you would get that gift,
Now on the earth i m 15,
and now i realise that nothing is greater
than a loving family as a priceless gift...

Magic

I think this whole world is just magic,
An example that magic exists.
A proof you can say,
Try and think that way.
Take cars for instance,
Magical boxes with wheels
Or cameras existance,
It captures moments with ease.
Take yourself,
Isn't it magical,
Magical that you are breathing,
Magical that you can think,
Magical that you are feeling,
Magical that you can blink.
Isn't it magical how areoplanes can fly
Or how magically the clouds can cry.
Take time to look at the sun,
Magical ball of continuous fire.
The common magical roof on our heads,
Just admire the sky's attire.
We have magic everywhere,
Anywhere you can look.
Yes, we do have magic everywhere,
Every corner every nook.
