How do you do it...
arrested again.
Paroled for awhile
then back to the pen.
We know you don't mean it.
We know that you care.
But when will you show it?
When and where?
As much as we love you
our hate runs that strong.
Why can't you stay with us?
What are we doing wrong?
Are your friends to blame?
Did they help cause this bust?
What should we feel?
Who do we trust?
Who do we love?
Who should we hate?
Why do you burden us
with all your stuff
on our plate?
It's too much to handle,
we're too young to deal.
With the heartache we have,
with the pain that we feel.
Your our Daddy, our idol,
our mentor for sure.
Our anger, our hope,
we need you here more.
Your smile, our tears
your our happiness found.
Our twinkle, our fears,
the reason we frown.
You want us to love you
you want us to care
But Daddy, how can we...
when your never there!

How my mind races...how my heart breaks with every passing thought...each one weighing heavier on my heart! Every one causes me to roam closer to that cliff...closer to my escape...THEN I LOOK BEHIND ME and I see the hurt bewildered look upon my loved ones face...and I see a mirror image of myself...asking WHY? In that moment I begin to answer other's questions, only to realize THIS IS WHY!

Oh! Where Oh where can my bottle be!
I need it quick for my messed up teeth!
I really thought I'd be drinking by now...
but I forgot that my kid was in town!
She's got the power and the control,
All these fools do what they are told.
So if you see them slap them both in the head...
and let them know I'm here crying in bed!
And it better be closed and not half gone
Or I am going to yell and carry on!!
I had a feeling and I should have said "Screw It"
But instead I'm in pain and really upset!
I know when you see this you will probably stay gone
but what the heck its taking too long!

Yea? So today is here...
So I made it thru the night.
That doesn't mean that you
or my life is right.
But "You love me."
"You just want me to be okay."
If only you realized that
your way,
is not the only way!
So you've molded yourself
to community standards.
So you speak all proper...
in societies words!
But... are you really happy?
Are you really proud?
Or are you just uptight,
holier and loud?
Do you actually remember
having lived all the things
your preaching about?
Or have you forgotten
what life is painfully
all about?
Can you remember what its
like to want and need?
Do you remember how it feels
to have kids to feed/
Do you know what its like
to truly love?
To be grateful for
the man above?
Or have you forgotten these
little things?
Like the joy that a simple
smile brings!
Can you honestly say
you know how to feel...
Or do you only know how to
pretend your human and real?
Do you know who you are?
Do you have any clue?
Do you really care about me?
Or is it just all about you?
