We have been forced to live in an emotional haze
To break and burn, just to pretend to be okay
Nobody sees that we can be hurt in so many ways
But, one day someone will pay
One day the fire will burn to bright
And the pain will become to much to bear
We pretend there is always one light
That light is the darkness, that will tear
Tear until there is two
Two sides of the same
Why can't the world just take it's cue
Let us create yourselves with a new name
It is time for us to learn
That it is to late to burn

I have fallen for you in the craziest way.
Nobody guessed that we would ever come to this day.
Weirdest of all is the rain,
Which we all thought would come with pain.
Today there is no need for me to hide.
I must hold my head up, with pride.
Why would I run when I feel like this?!
If only I could tell you this with a simple kiss…
Sadly this is all coming to an end,
The road stopping in an awkward bend.
I will always blame you,
Forget the things we could never do.
I see that you no longer need me,
You don’t want what we could never be.
One day, soon, I will get better.
For now I will right all of this for you in this sad little letter.

Tick-tock, tick-tock
Oh my, look at the clock
It is eight
Eight days too late
No, you can't apologize
At least you match your size
You stand so tall
Yet we see you are small
Inside there is a war
That I can feel in my core
I wanted to be your light
Did I shine too bright?
I never wanted to see all that you could do
Considering that I truly love you

There is something forming inside me
It’s bubbling and bursting into a single bright flame
This thing is calling out, telling me what it wants to be
Maybe it will take the blame
This fire wants to be your light
It wants to be not mine, but yours
The thing wants to be your guide through dark nights
It is pouring through my own pores
This fire is my passion
It is what I want you to see
The sad thing is, this fire doesn’t seem to understand compassion
It only knows what it wants us to be
This fire is nothing you can see
It is the new me

I am so scared
I never thought I would ever get paired
I don't know what to do
But I do know that I love you
But what if you don't want me?
How do I know if you want all we can be?
I know you have said it a million of times
But were you only searching for some rhymes?
And what about her?
I know she talks to you in a pur
She told me that she loves you
You must want all that you could do
I just can't decide
Is it too late to hide?

Why does it any of this matter?
It’s not like I even care
Maybe it’s because I was always a chatter
Or maybe I just needed another pair
I tried my best, and I know it
Don’t look at me like you could do better
I will understand in a little bit
You cannot judge me when you can’t even spell a single letter
This doesn’t change me
It doesn’t mean I am any different
Does it change what you see?
Please, don’t look at me like I am an infant
This doesn’t change me

Why are you so dumb?
You act like you can chew me up like gum
But news flash, you can’t
You don’t even get a pant
Not from me
You don’t know who I will be
You know nothing about what I can do
You are only obsessed with you
When will you realize
That you don’t get a prize
Not for treating me like this
You won’t even get a goodbye kiss
Why are you so stupid?
