My Grandmother

Her voice was music to my ears.
She would always wipe away my tears.
I loved the smell of her powder and perfume
If i ever needed a place to stay, she would always find room.
The smell of her apple pies and home cooking
would slip another gift for me under the christmas tree when
no one was looking.

Being Shy

I remember being shy in school. Being the shyest kid was no fun, Being picked on all the time, being shy i guess was a crime. Being laughed at, made fun of, going home and crying, teachers always prying.

Being shy was no fun at all, popular girls talking about you in the bathroom stall. Never getting invited to a dance. The nerdy guy with the big teeth and zits was probably my only chance. Made fun of because i wouldn't talk or walk the walk. Didn't have any money, other kids thought it was funny.

But you know that nerdy guy with the big teeth and zits turned into a handsome man years later in life and now i can proudly say that i am his wife.

Gods Healing Hands

She watches her child as he writhes in pain, knowing each treatment is all done in vain. Everyday her child gets weaker and closer to death, wishing she could give him her only last breath.

The doctors had told her he had only months to live hope and prayer were all they could give. Each day he got weaker, skin so pale, bones so weak thin as a rail. Then a miracle happened the doctors were in awe, amazed at the awesome sight that they saw.

A powerful light appeared around mother and son, the power of god had healed her little one.

Grandbabies

Grand babies are like gifts from above. They don't criticize you all they do is love.
Their love is genuine, so precious and rare, if we could learn love from our grand babies we would have more love to share.

Grandbabies are a true gift from god, treasure them, love them, hold on to those memories in your heart and mind, because you'll never have something so rare and so kind.

The Soldier

He'll never be the same again seeing all that blood shed, heart racing, bullets flying, seeing his comrades lying dead. The screams in the night, pulse racing, hiding in the dark. Knowing that any second he's gonna be the enemies next mark. To afraid to breathe, daylight comes, the scene is so unbearable, never did he think that war could be this terrible.

Rude People

People today are so rude. All self absorbed, with the biggest attitude. Never willing to help their fellow man. I try to help whenever I can. The world is changing and some people don't even care. We all have but one world to share. The other day I saw an elderly man crossing the street, just shuffling his feet. I went to help him. The gratitude in his eyes was something i will always remember.

Im my teenage years i was rebellious didnt listen didnt care. I would give anything now to listen to the stories she used to share. I miss my mother and i know she is watching over me. She is in heavan now where she should be.

Forever Beautiful

She looks in the mirror wondering where her beauty went lines and creases were all she could see her husband walks up behind her and tells her you will always be beautiful to me. He takes her into his arms and they look into the mirror together and think of years gone by and he reminds her i will love you until the day i die.
