Poverty In Africa

POVERTY IN AFRICA
Nzongi N.Mwero
Large population live in slums,
Youth unemployment looms,
Illiteracy looms,
Poor health standards zooms,
In Africa poverty has rooms

A protein starvation diseases on the rise,
Due to a harsh natural environmental and subsistence level,
And semi skilled farming methods,
Many rely mainly on their primitive agriculture to stay alive,
Most Africans scratch out a living,
In ways that seem to reward inadequate diets

Dirty ragged children scattered on the dust road,
Scrambling for orange peelings,
That tourists had thrown on the dust road,
Children are weakened,
And mentally retarded,
Prematurely aged with yellow hair,
No clothing on the body,
The baby’s stomach bulged on their mother’s back,
Their arms and legs looked like sticks,
Although six and a half month old,
Their ringles skin and thin legs gives no chance to crawl,
Their closed mouth give no chance to sucker

A man walks along a path feeling very thirsty,
Looking tap water to quench his thirsty,
Ready to quench even the coloured salty water,
Because no single coin in his pocket

A woman thinks to send her kids to school,
But she finds in her cube no stool,
She thinks and decides to remain cool,
And goes for cooking roots in the bush,
With her weak kid on her back crying for food

A man in his thatched hut with holes around it,
Bow and arrow in his back,
Ready to hunt any rodent in the bush,
Ready to trap any insect that comes across,
In the home ,no food no water and no school for his kids
In cities and towns beggars are scattered,
Their spindly limbs reach out for a coin,
A piece of bread that might extension of life for few hours,
Dead brothers and sisters lying on the streets,
Not for bullets but due to hunger,
Waiting to be picked up for their painless journey,
Poverty is a war and has been a war for decades

The Rohingya of Mymmar

THE ROHINGYA OF MYMMAR
Nzongi Mwero
We are the Rohingya of Mymmar not spay,
A Nation deprived of its name many people say,
A Nation deprived of its language and the religion the Buddha’s say,
Whenever you look from the first to the end of May,
Nobody their problems could say.

Oh, therefore you would see a bleeding wound,
Emitting from a crying heart and mind,
In our blood –shot tearful eyes surround,
How we are drowned left along the sea round.

In the pool of our sweat and tears,
In the pool of our gushing blood the world hears,
We need the help of soothing hands dears,
That would make us condition bears.

We are not allowed to renounce our culture,
Be our language which is nature,
Be our religion and we are mature,
Nor our ethnicity and agriculture.

Just a word the Rohingya are oppressed,
Otherwise tormented,
In Mymmar are cursed,
And finally killed.

No education for our kids,
No food to feed,
No employment we are allowed,
And in Mymmar no place to hide,
Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand we ride.

The Street Child

THE STREET CHILD.
Nzongi N.Mwero.
Cell phone +254727254534.

Why me Am like a doll?
Why me not play a ball?
Why me not receive a call?
Why me if I become tall?
Why me if I become sick and fall?

Where is my mother?
What happened to my father?
Who is my brother?
Who is going to bother?

What wrong did I do to deserve treated like a dog,
What can I do but beg and steal,
Sometimes I cry otherwise I weep,
And sometimes I try to forget it all,
Please do not patronise me otherwise do not ignore me,
Just think me as another human being.

Am thinking to be great,
Am thinking to be nice,
Am thinking to aim higher,
Yes I want to be what my parents want me to be,
But how?
What should I do?
To go to school,
To play on the streets,
Or just sway to music in my mind.

Problems – Problems- Problems,
And I’m still young not even 10 years old,
But wait I have get the answer,
Let’s I try to shape my life for a better future – Yes –Yes-Yes.

A Crying Woman In Syria

A CRYING WOMAN IN SYRIA
by Nzongi N. Mwero
A woman on her horse,
All the children crying,
People lay wounds and hurt,
Everywhere scenes of dying,
    A crying woman in Syria

Please don’t go cried as a refugee,
For you love your kids so,
Kids must be saved everybody knows,
But please and please do not go as a refugee,
A crying woman in Syria

A hush fell over the battle field,
As soldiers stepped forth,
These soldiers will not repent,
   A crying woman in Syria

Soldiers fight with valour and with might,
As they put their guns on the middle of the field,
Women could run and fled,
But patience make their stay,
A crying woman in Syria,

The women go to their houses twice,
As hundreds of gun are shot,
They persevered through everything,
To save their president’s throne,
   A crying woman in Syria

Women and children are not saved in Syria,
And who will be their saviour,
That will be truthful to them,
So that they improve their condition of life,
    A crying woman in Syria

Oh’ international community,
Oh Africa union,
Provide all your best decision,
To save the women and children in Syria
Syria is their cradle country,
    A crying woman in Syria

Where can a woman or a child run or fastest,
Oh, international community,
Oh, Africa union,
Do not lose the race of helping Syria,
People are spread with gun fire smoke,
People are fed with daily bombings,
People are tired with army vehicles,
   A crying woman in syria

The World Should Be Peaceful

THE WORLD SHOULD BE PEACEFUL.
Nzongi N. Mwero.
Cell phone +254727254534.

Peace! Peace! Peace! Peace!
The world should be peaceful,
And let everyone be cheerful,
Make the world powerful,
And its people be greatful.

A country where people don’t get robbed,
A country where people don’t get conned,
A country where people don’t get favoured,
A country where people don’t get murdered,
A country where people don’t get scared.

A Nation with no fights,
A Nation with pretty sights,
A Nation with wide cultural and visual arts,
A Nation with preferable diets,
A Nation with balanced fixed assets.

A Nation with no pollution,
A Nation with well fed population,
A Nation with heavy commercial transportation,
A well trained work force nation,
A Nation with no commotion.

I would like the world to be free from tribalism,
I would like the world to be free from terrorism,
A Nation with varied history of mankind’s development,
And successive civilizations,
With a wide range of cultural horizons,
That enriches the individual personal resources.

Think of the world without any fight,
Oh my, what a sight,
The world should be peaceful,
And let everyone be cheerful,
Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!
Let the world be a heavenly kingdom.

Beg and Utilize

BEG AND UTILIZE
Nzongi Mwero
I strongly air my huge words,
I still call the entire world,
And also I write a message card,
That will heavily guide,
Those who are greedy.

Oh, let me tell you foreign charities,
From various countries,
Along with your cities,
For and more centuries,
You helped many African communities,
With your charities.

For centuries foreign charities could not fear your poverty,
They could use their priority,
Along with their property,
To make sure Africans are smart,
And out of poverty.

Foreign Christian charities or other kind,
Are the best that hath been raised up for mankind?
And always think of Aiding Africans in their mind,
Therefore, within a moment they give their hand.

They spend their wealth for the Africa cause,
Africans should use that wealth for the real cause,
And by giving this Aid the Organisation does not choose,
Or think either thy will lose,
Or even their charity to close.

They give their charity in good faith,
Clean heart from their wealth,
To revive the dead African charities to come to breath,
Plus those that are emerging both.

Our African charities- Be religious or community non,
You borrow foreign charity for the community or for nun,
Many contribute and contribute a lot of money,
But African charity use the given foreign charity to buy their honey,
And use as much as they can,
Sometimes use that Aid in their honey moon.

Children need education and health care,
Old men and women need clothes and shoes to wear,
Children need good religious teachings to swear,
That is needed by every person within the community my dear.

Africa charity heads- Where is the foreign charity funds?
Many times you are given foreign funds,
And other helping hands,
Along with European grants,
Of various kinds.

Implement these funds to your people,
By creating various job opportunities that are simple,
And this would be helpful,
Instead of depending grants from other people,
Like a bush monkey that gets free apple.

Stop borrowing from others,
Create various job opportunities with your brothers,
Like Agriculture or making furniture’s,
I tell you religious sisters and fathers.

Use the charity funds to implement job opportunities,
For your communities to get priorities,
Of managing various properties,
And reduce the poverty opportunities,
Within the Africa societies.

Be like Noah and be master of your Ark,
Do not be like a Bee that another flower you suck,
Forever you will be ward back,
And finally you will remain in dark.

Borrowing a rope from others is not forbidden,
But eat the fruit of the tree with your community open,
Do not be greedy of the foreign charity you are given,
Implement the charity funds and create job opportunities open,
So that you can stop begging even.

The Crying Wild Creatures

THE CRYING WILD CREATURES.
Nzongi Mwero.
Oh, we recall the bygone times,
The days of the golden past,
That chirping with our merry mates,
Flying around the parks,
Gone the joys of the nests,
That freedom restrained,
Coming at our will in parks,
But hindered and chained in the parks.

Oh, we feel painted at our hearts when we recall,
The scene in the parks unsmiling,
No glistering dew drops from the trees,
All big trees were cut down,
We can’t forget that lovely shape of the parks,
That endearing our faces.

Oh, life was real nice in the vernal shade,
Oh, we miss the sweet voices of our brothers in the parks,
Would that we had the strength to break the predators,
What a bad luck have we?
Can we pine for another park?
Brothers let us think of the weapons and tactics,
That we could escape from poachers and predators.

My friend Antelope- You can use your speed in retreating,
You Tortoise- Use your shield or bomb shelter,
My friend Chameleon- You can use the camouflage,
You Porcupine- Please use your swords or bayonets,
My friend Snake- Use your poisoned knife,
You Stunk- Please Use your tear gas or poison gas,
My friend Octopus- Use your smoke screen,
You Electric Eel- Please Use your electric shock,
Then my friend Gecko- You can Use your diversionary tactics,
And finally me Elephant I will Use my tusks.
Everyone has a duty to perform his defensive way,
To deal with poachers and predators,
But still human beings have more brains,
They know how to trap us,
We plead those with good hearted to protect us.

Parks are our shelters,
Rivers are our shelters,
Oceans and lakes are our shelters,
Trees are our shelters,
The land is our shelters.

Oh, we beg you do not harm us,
You live on land- You live on land,
You drink water from the rivers –We live and drink that water,
You get medicine from trees- We live and eat those trees,
You collect foreign money from the parks- We live in the parks,
You use oceans and lakes to travel –We live in those waters.

Oh, we are all world creatures,
Why are you killing us for meat?
Why are you destroying the parks?
Why are you contaminating the waters?
Why are you cutting down trees?
Why are you burning the land we live?
Why are you hunting us for more money?
And already you are getting foreign money due to us,
Please stop hunting us or destroying our shelters.

A Message To War Combatants

A MESSAGE TO WAR COMBATANTS.
Nzongi N. Mwero.
Cell phone +254727254534.

A punishment by fire,
Should not behove anyone,
The adversary should not be burnt alive,
No attack to a wounded soldier,
Or a journalist,
Or a soldier who is not fit for the fight.

No prisoner should be out to the gun,
No one should be tied to be killed,
No one should beheaded,
Or mutilate the corpse of the enemy
Stop showing horrible videos of the dead.

Let the dead or injured be taken
By their fellow comrades,
No captivity their throat shown cut,
Or any live body parts mutilation.

Booty of war from the battle ground,
Consists of wealth and provisions,
Never pillage or plunder,
Or destroy residential areas,
Or harm the property of anyone not in war.

No guilty of breach of the faith,
Prohibit the breach of treaties,
Settle the terms of the treaty,
Never show unparalleled examples,
And respect the settlement,
Not deeply touched grieved by the past,
Move forward and think about the future.

The Red Day

THE RED DAY
Nzongi Mwero
The day many admire,
The day many spark their interest,
The day many get rest,
The day many prepare,
The day many visit each other,
The day lovers come together,
The day lovers please each other.

Valentine day – the day kisses spread,
Valentine day – love spread like feather’s dove,
Valentine day – red dress in everybody’s mind,
Valentine day – the dump and the blind please each other,
Valentine day – the poor forget their hardship.

Red flowers are in everybody’s heart,
Many forget the bad times on the red day,
And refresh their new red carpet day,
The chosen day where love does not loose market,
Valentine day – the reality of love for many people.

Man to woman the day of togetherness,
The sick and the inmates love does not neglect,
The poor and rich love does not choose,
The red carpet day love in the brain,
The day people in pairs,
The red dress a prodigal mark of love.

Pretty faces on the beaches,
Lovely movements on the hotels,
Proudly dresses on the body,
Man to woman well armed with love,
And forget all odds and skirmishes of the world.

The day many quench their love thirsty,
Many sing love victory songs,
Many are scattered with love memories,
So that love can take its position,
The day that promises to heal the wounds of quarreling lovers.

The Terror Motives

THE TERROR MOTIVES
Nzongi N. Mwero

They will not succeed,
The ones who take off their lives and other people’s lives,
Due to their dark minds and black brain,
Directing their images to the creator,
They think their souls go to heaven,
And given a better place

Always not successful ones,
They have bad place in heaven,
They are the doomed ones,
Have position in the burning hell fire,
They are accountable for their insane

When they kill dozens souls,
They believe to have next life,
With well developed souls,
Being free of burdens on earth,
And immense potential to enjoy everything in heaven,
They believe killing is a formula to reach in paradise
A terror seed planted in the minds of the youth,
The Terror chief brain washed youth’s minds,
And the semi educated people,
To scheme his ambitions,
He spread false believes,
All his false teachings are not in any religion

The terror seeds planted for his self interest,
The terror chief had his own ambition,
He seduced the youth majority and spread lies,
He lobbed the youth majority to follow his foot steps,
So that they cause loss of human life and destruction

Book: Shattered Sighs
