you always seem to kick me,
especially when i’m down,
then wonder why i don’t have trust
or want to stick around
you hurt me very often
with the things you say
like telling me i’m all screwed up
i’m sorry, i’m this way
you tell me just shut up
in attempt to steal my voice
and leave me with no options
as if i have no choice
you never really see me
i’m a ghost just hanging here
i wonder if i died today
would you pretend you held me, dear?
you tell me that you love me
and you’ll always be right there
but still i don’t believe you
and someday, i won’t care.

do i walk away from you?
or you away from me?
cause everything comes to end,
it has to,
eventually.
i don’t know which way to turn,
when every thought takes me down a road to you.
but this time i’m not stopping by,
no,
this time i'm just passing through.
if i said it didn't hurt,
well,
that’s only half the truth;
for as honest as i am,
i’m a dirty liar too.
