I'M Strong

When the tears come down my eyes
I’m strong
When I feel those butterflies
I’m strong
When I feel like telling lies
I’m strong
When the unexpected leave my side
I’m strong
If the struggle makes me sigh
I’m strong
When they feel otherwise I’ll rise…

Free V

Free verse/ Lyric
Places of mediocrity
Levels of ordinary,
Commonness
Seems easy to resist
Its exceptionalism
I am exceptional
Not limited by statistics
Not settling for less
Not excepting your perception of me
Try putting me in a box
I’m coming out
Like Diana Ross
Like a class at recess
I’ll be running for the door
I’m coming to make money
And a better life
So be it
I am your fight
I’m bout that living
While reminiscing,
And planning to be seen different…

J's Bio

Absent from the wisdom of awareness
She and I have been strangers
Unaware of the long rest,
Laziness and procrastination
I feel tricked
I hear the laughter
And see the stares,
Unfortunate whispers of peers
Digging myself in deep
And deeper into my dreams
Fantasies
Catering my wants more than needs
Held back
Hated
And misused
Like most of the greatest
I feel honored
My demise has been planned
And I’m alive
I strive.

Untitled2

Swimming in a pool of love, my joy comes from up above;
Words without faces, and no limit to graces.
I dreamed of these places watching my favorite
TV shows,
With every burden a blessing flows;
Wonderful.
At first I didn’t want to go
The door looks like a miracle,
Invisible,
Where I was so comfortable
I didn’t even know;
My friends would leave, and I want them to go
Yo! It’s so hard to find, and
I don’t know where we going to stand
I finally got a winning hand...
