Summer Days

There we were speeding along
the warm leather seats of the golf cart
asphalt hot under the wheels.

The sun shines down
ever radiant above
the sky is as blue as ever

The occasional shout heard by all
as someone is hurt or excited
the happiness and joy in our hearts

Small waves hit the shoreline of Lake Michigan
the screams of swimmers as the water hits them
the smell of sun screen in the heat.

Little children laughing in the pool
the random parent shouting "don't run"
all good times wraped around us like a blanket.

The dazzaling sunsets
the golden ball falls to its daily death
as the stars begin to shine

There's only one word to describe summer
those longs days, wonderful days in St. Joesph, MI
"AWESOME"

Then summer days fade away
fall hits with a resounding boom
and the hope for more summer days.

Feeling

A warning flashes across the glass
ending in a world of wires
an ptical illusion
forced through a camera
fog
then nothing
the world is gone

Studying For Exams

A dreadful day
cooped up inside
a book in hand
snow falling past the window
a great sorrow approaches
that book is not one you want
for exams are on the morrow

Falling Stars

A star falls to earth,
and with it my life,
she walked away from me,
taking my heart,
ever since I've been in a trance,
not knowing what to do.
Looking in her eyes,
I try to find her heart,
but another reflection looks back at me,
the pain makes me want to cry,
that falling star,
it was my heart,
it crashed and burned,
and now I'm dead,
and love is the damndest thing.

Standing There

I was standing there,
as the winds began to blow,

rain fell down
the echo sounding like a hammer

the people gone, dispersed
me just standing there

the bells began to toll
the resounding hymn of God

"boom..."
something falls from above

it races for my head.....
collides with me

(silence) all around
I WAS standing there!

Untitled

Snow falls toward the ground,
with pain in every flake,
no word I get from her,
for anger is what she has.
I long to hear the voice,
a voice like a warm summer breeze,
just once more would be enough.
Those eyes are all I want,
looking back at me,
sparkling in the midnight light,
as pretty as can be.
But pain and injury I have caused her,
so now cold shoulder is what I get.
What I wouldnt give,
for one more time with her,
to hear the voice,
and see those eyes,
that changed my life,
and broke my heart.

Heartless With a Heart

She tells me she has no heart,
I say I dont believe her,
then I give proof that she can love,
and alas a fight ensues,
no true friends she says she has,
for they supposedly betrayed her,
but the truth lies within my mind,
it was only because I needed an answer,
to hear rumors and stories,
from all sides,
is almost like being killed,
now I have the answer sought,
though its not what I wanted,
yet i still know she has a heart,
for then she has her family,
I may have hurt and made her cry,
but forgiveness is what I seek,
from the heartless with a heart.
