They say that friends may come and go,
and for most I guess that's so.
But the friends dwelling in my life,
have stuck around and seen much strife.
I say friends may stay you know,
to blanket me through grief and woe.
With this in mind I say adieu,
to find a needed
friend so true.

In our lives have been a part
Whether they are near or far
Not with us or in the bar
They will always be held dear
While we try through tears to peer
Because the joy of knowing you
