You and Your Thoughts

I ain't saying that life is hard, it's what you think,
I ain't saying that friends last but enemies will always be around,
I ain't saying that love is a flower, it's filled with roses and thorns,
Your family shouldn't decide what you should do for yourself .
Politicians shouldn't  be able to control your mind, you should think for yourself,
Not every woman who conceives becomes a mother,
Not every man who says he loves you would always be by your side.?
People will always talk about you, but who will stand by your side?
Who will hear your other side of your story when your been judged?
Second chances are now rare, we have trust issues,
I ain't a religious person, but I do believe in the existence of God,
I do believe in love, peace, joy, mercy and kindness,
I don't have a space in my heart to carry burdens,
Do you care about what people think about you?
Do you heed to third parties?
Life is what you make, not what you borrow from others,
Chances are always around-the-clock,
We all have a chance of being great,
Be careful of the company you keep,
For some will make your dreams and they are few,
Most would give you a nightmare during the day.

No More

No More

No more;
Lies
Pain
Suffering
Cowardliness
For they break ones spirit

No more;
Violence
Murder
Stealing
Killing
For it makes the world a cold place to stay

No more;
Hiding
Running away
Face your challenges with courage

No more of the less you have
Know that you can grow as long as your roots are deep into the soil
Know that life holds more when you seem empty handed
Have hope and you'll wake through the challenges that lie in front of you

Riches and Poverty

Riches and poverty that's the only line drawn amongst us
Each side fears the other for some reasons
Know one thing and understand both
Riches can never buy everything in this world
Poverty doesn't also put you at the lower end
Know the strengths and weakness to beat your enemy
The world can accommodate and there is still more vacancies left
Tell a friend to tell a friend, spread the talk
Don't break the chain of communication
None can survive without the other
We need each other, can't you see?
Greed will kill our generations
Hate will be turned into bitterness
Learn to show the world that we are one
Though we are divided, lets stand tall together
Riches and poverty your a monster to humanity

Three Nails and a Cross

He come into this world for our sake
His unconditional love made Him sacrifice Himself
With each step He took, we follow
God was merciful unto us,for He loves us more
Opting to give us His only son so that we could be saved
Three nails and a cross was the perfect sacrifice

No scapegoats could clean our sins
More and more were sacrificed so that God could forgive us
The Lamb of God was the only redemption
He was called the King of the Jews
Crowned with thrones on His head, surely he was humble to death

Each stripe cleaned our sins
Each drop of blood from His body washed us clean
Each tear He shed, took away our pain and sadness
Three nails and a cross

As the nails pierced His body, He scream in pain
The cup He drank was too heavy for the physical form
The weight of the sins were too heavy for one man
But through Him we found salvation and love

As the sky got more darker, He asked why He forsake Him
The Creator was been nailed into a cross by His creation
It was the fulfilling of the scriptures
With His last words, it was completely finished
Three nails and a cross took death and gave us life.

These Streets

We have walked on them
Each day and night, we leave our print
If it could stretch one could see the distance
Its on these streets that most have been betrayed
Others have been killed and murdered for no reason
Some began their love story on them
These streets hold onto the weight of the society
Its a pain that some won't walk on them again
Will the time come when secrets will be shared?

Am tired of innocent killings taking place
Yet the perpetrators run away using the same streets
It seems like some mysteries won't ever be solved
The answers we seek won't be answered when we still mortal
Am going to leave these questions to the Immortal Being
Even though we seem hopeless, don't let that drain your dream
These streets are older than most of us
Lets stop seeking for the known within the unknown
Some things are worth leaving them alone
At the end, we still have a street to walk on.

No More Violence

The society is broken
With a lot of pain and sadness
Cries of mothers to their children
Can't understand the dynamics of the society
Looking for peace in a torn white flag
Hypocrites leading, yet destroying our hope
We share the same Earth
Though blood spills on it
Rumors of war been heard far and near
Can this continue for long?
Look into the mirror
You'll see our future is broken
Our young children practicing sex
As if its a must to embrace their peers
Look at how life goes on without scolding the wrongs
Abortion the protocol of the day
Lets not live to our consequences
Let the violence seize
It starts with you and me
Lets stop burying in the cemetery
How many more will be sacrificed?
For the worse?
Think about it and speak your mind
    No more violence.

Do Not Forget

The sun sets in the west, the moon rises from the east.
As we plan to have some rest, we pray for a clean heart.
Darkness looms in,
The stars still shine through the dark sky,
Breaking through darkness my friend.
Can you see what I see?
Hate is a heavy word, it will sink you into depression.
The idle isolation for you to beat yourself.
We walk on paths but our choices is what determines the way one lives in this world.
Don't forget some are dying to living to die.
Life is a gift, take her and give her the love she needs and she'll be with you.
As for me, I pray I don't forget where i come from

Who Taught You

Back in the days, began schooling at a tender age
Gender wasn't the issue, we were happy sharing the moments
I mean Sunday school were the best days for me
Its' evident that some began their careers way back
U gotta be thankful for your teacher, who noticed your dream early

Can't lie, was crying and holding on ma mama
Didn't want to be left with strangers I didn't know
Until I came to understand they meant no harm, I opened up
Holding a pen and paper become my dream come true
Been taught how to read and write, fulfilled my ambitions

The truth lays in the steps I have left
It's a struggle to get done with your dreams
I ain't through yet, Who taught you?
That's a question that can't be answered directly
The journey has been long, with shortcomings, I haven't reached the end
I have just began and I ain't going to stop, till the road ends

Precious Flower

Life is a flower, given to you
Take care of it for it lays in your hands
Don't ignore her needs for survival
Water her day by day, let her grow deeper into the soil
Weed some of the unwanted plants
That may choke her, and then dies as she struggles for life
Prone some of the branches
Remove the dry leafs with care and kindness
Let her know nature since nature is her mother
Never let her grow alone, for she needs the company of others
As she begins to blossom, you'll know that she has matured with your love
Life is a flower, don't break her since you can't make another
Life is a precious flower, give her the care she needs.

Power of the Mind

Power of the Mind.

The power of the mind is to innovate, bring up good ideas
It has the ability to change your life
It gives one a chance to believe in themselves when others are doubting him/her.
The power of the mind gives growth to an individual
These are the good qualities of the mind if one is positive.

The power of the mind can take another direction through negativity.
It's true what you think is what you come of at the end.
The mind can kill, lie, murder, fornication, jealously
The power of the mind is what you think of, so try your best to be positive and stay strong
Pray that you may have a positive mind.
