Angela Phillips Poem
I admit I've the blues
I swear this is true
Mother of one
Stepmom to none.
But a lover I am
To three children's father
Engagement whatever
Legally doesn't matter.
Marriage counts
In the courts they say
My opinions don't
Until my wedding day.
Even then I'm told
A difference it won't make
To one who's heart
Remains locked away.
Shunted if I do
Shunned if not
Thus why I've got
The not-so stepmom blues.

Angela Phillips Poem
When the pain is blinding
The dark is binding
No use finding
A way to get out.
You feel defeated
Your energy depleted
Fear is meted
There is no way out.
Frozen frown
Always down
Need a plan
A helping hand.
Gather your strength
Find some hardy faith
Leave behind the wraith
It is time to get out.
Frozen frown
Always down
Need a plan
A helping hand.
Friends you crave
To help you be brave
No longer a slave
You are reaching out.
Never again frown
No longer down
Made the plan
With a helping hand.

Angela Phillips Poem
Dear Daniel Bryan
I have a story to tell
Of your littlest fan
And your “Yes!” he does yell.
Even in sleep
Surprise you he would
For awake he does leap
Your theme understood.
As soon as he hears
“Flight of the Valkyries”
He perks up his ears
And is up off his knees.
Arms in the air
Fingers pointed high
Stepping to the ring with care
Even in mid cry.
Yes Movement I see
Every Monday Night Raw
Such a delight to me
He fills me with awe.
The Littlest Yes Movement is here
His age do you wonder?
He has just turned a year
Your youngest fan member.

Angela Phillips Poem
To have a daughter
Is such a joy
Unless she is not yours
And seems to hate your guts.
Attitude and haughtier
Excuses and ploys
A canoe without oars
Lies forfeit trust.
