Day In Town

Place of sorrow with happiness
Song of music with the noise
Dream of targets and the goals
Time for bodies with the minds

Flute Player

You gave the street a tune of flute
Taught us a lesson not just the tune
Holding the flute you struggle the life
You are a teacher taught us life

Blindness wasn't a barrier to my life
Humming a tune you survive the life
Wait a minute you people who run!
To offer a value to this great man

The Lotus

In the middle of the pond a beautiful lotus bloomed
Petals came up with the time to crown the lotus in the pond
Time just flew with the days giving the rise to a new bud
Giving space for the new one forever slept flower the old

A Tear

Solution that protects eye in science
Same with sorrow and happiness
A message to the world without a word
Result of a feeling that cannot be told

Yes Some Can

To be aweken when people are in dreams
To shout and stand against injustice
To give his life for the common aims
Yes! some can sacrifice

Life

Does letters have life to give feelings
Can a emotion be within a word
Can dreams fill the rows
Can a poem say what life is?

Niyagala

Killer's buried under the soil
Bloomed at the edge of a greenish vine
Burns with beauty each eye in line
Princess Niyagala*, she did smile

*A plant which has a poisonous root and a beautiful flower which looks like a flame.

A Life Story

No father has been seen since birth
The school near the estate didn't teach me a lesson
Relatives other than my mother have lived with me
How could I do anything except what mom did

In the Future

The golden rays of the early morning sunshine has struck
Cold dew drops are scattered all over
The end of the green foliage is red
The ‘future tree’, a flower has blossomed

The earth will give strength to the tree in the future
The branches will spread out to give the shade
A tree will encourage another flower to bloom
It will continue eternally

Distant Star

On a cold night, the distant star shines

Approach the star in my dreams

Feels the warmth it provides

Trying to reach and looking for ways
