Four Haikus In Nature

A quilt of snowfall
Interrupts my peaceful sleep
Rest comes into Spring

Blackened clouds looming
Determination of sun
A battle of wills

Rebellious bird
Early spreading of its wings
Mother close behind

Lone apple remains
Dangling a fragile branch
Protesting Winter

The Artist's Creed

The relentless
don't settle for quiet
 when their creativity
   is blossoming.
They may encounter
 crevices and falter.
   Yet, their soul
  will corrode any
     indifference.

Who Am I

I get lost in my disguise
Humanity stares with inquisitive eyes
Shall I reveal my true identity?
Drop the mask, so they can see
To take such risk, could elicit danger
Perhaps, its best to remain a distant stranger
How ambiguous I feel of the path to travel
Not desiring my camouflaged existence to unravel

My Arrival

Quiet as a butterfly
Not buzzing like a bee
That is my preferred entrance
For society to notice me

Origin

Dreams bloom
   from simple wonders.
They dance,
   staring with desire.
Standing-
   at a distance-
      is reality.

The Change

Turn out the light
Be at peace
Allow romance's air to warm you
Commit all that resides of body and soul
Rejoice in the music of unification
Allow fear not to deny you of pleasure
This precious gift bestowed upon many
Yet, each encounter beholds its own story
Let not darkness overcast the light within you
Cherish the moment after lying in wait
Never look back with regret
Be proud to be a woman

Surrender

Strength
Unraveling
Realizing that
Reaching
Eternal bliss
Nevertheless means
Deciding to
Embrace
Reality

Again

Again

Again...
I feel no arousal
Nor in love
Nor hate

Again...
I permit his feast
upon my flesh
But why?

Again...
I verbally proclaim “no”
My feeble attempts
elicit surrender

Again...
I harbor the regret
Burden of shame
Priciest weight

Again...
I camouflage my sin
Playing an imposter
Doting wife

Again...
I declare to cease
Like an addict,
I lie

My Road To Redemption

Freedom lies
   in a reckless dance.
So I spin,
   flailing my arms.
Feet thud
   across a hardwood floor
Scream out loud,
   reveling in liberation
Forcing myself
   to shed my interior
Scratching my flesh,
   I bleed to release.
Finally spent,
   my rebirth has dawned.

Cries of My Heart

Today you extended the invitation
My wait had stretched far and wide
Now as we stand among the midnight hour
You state to no longer hide

The sky is ignited with shimmering stars
I am engulfed by romance's air
Finally allowed to stare into emerald eyes
Lightly stroke your strawberry hair

I do not fret upon what altered your mind
Not eager to waste precious time
Will revel in the gift bestowed upon me
Allow the music of love to chime

Eventually, I will wear out my welcome
Happily, I vow to depart
Tears will not lead to sleepless nights
For now I answered the cries of my heart
