Steven Adams Poem
I passed by your exit today
I wanted to come by
I miss you
You are my best friend
You are my pal
You are a light
Hadn't heard from you in a while
Hadn't laughed out loud
Hadn't heard you smile
Why did you not call
Why did you not say goodbye
Why did you have to get sick
I picked up my phone
I put in your number
I got no reply
You were gone
You left me alone
You had died
At first I didn't believe it
At least someone should have called
At least you are no longer suffering
Wrote your parents a letter today
Wrote about our friendship
Wrote that I was sorry for their loss
One day I might send it to them
One day I might stop missing you
One day I will see you again in Heaven
I miss my best friend
I miss my pal
I miss you Patricia

Steven Adams Poem
when I was a child
the evenings would be so long
lying in bed I'd cry and I'd pray
i hoped for a better life
patient, waiting, longing
awake in night I would stare
i'd look through the ceiling
and night dream of future plans
i'd never leave my wife
i'd always love my children
i'd tell them how proud i am
i'd give them a wonderful life
now i'm a grown man
i have my wonderful wife
two fantastic children
i have a wonderful life
but at times i still remember
those nights when i was alone
the nights i was up and crying
wishing i lived in a happy home
tell your children you love them
marry a wonderful wife
give your children something different
let them enjoy their nights

Steven Adams Poem
what did I do
what came over me
what was I thinking
what will I do
i'll get caught
i'll lose my job
i'll lose my money
i'll lose everything
was it worth it
was it necessary
was it sin
was it my fault
why did i let them down
why did i let myself down
why did i let her down
why did i let God down
i need Your forgiveness
i need Your embrace
i need Your mercy
i need Your strength
it's there for my taking
it's there for my mistakes
i wrote this so I would remember
God's never ending grace
