The Mark Twain Principal

When you are writing a poem
or a book or your name a letter
you must use plenty of flourish
which to me means something
must shine out to be seen
and noticed and remembered
by whomever is reading your creation
Mark Twain said that using
the right word can be compared to
lightning and a lightning bug

We All Do

If you live very long
in this crazy old world
you are bound to do
several things you wish
you hadn't done or
didn't do and a few things
that was totally wrong

I Still Wonder

I still wonder now and then
if you ever remember me
after all of these years
yes it has been so long ago
since I have been near you
I can't remember exactly when
yes it has been a long time ago
and life has been moving on
I can't help from wondering
if it was wrong for us now to stay
in love we could have you know
the flame was always there for us
somehow I knew I would always
care for you and remember you
yeah I still wonder now and then
if you ever think of me I know
I have always been thnking about you

Age of True Love

The time and age we live in
calls for love that is true
sweet baby I have loved before
I have been alone and lonely
in the time I have spent with you
you have gave me more love
than anyone I have ever known
you have made me fall in love
all my love and all my kisses
are for you and only you
sweet baby you are the one
I want to love and only you

Alcoholism

I feel sorry for every
Alcoholic in this world
because I know how bad
Alcoholism can be
I am happy for every
Aloholic in the world
who is trying to stay
sobe because I know
how good being sober
is for me

Slaves What Else

Humans are the weakest
creatures found on Earth
unless they are nutured
by wiser unseen forces
they ain't got a chance
humans can be transformed
from totally helpless
creatures with blank slates
into evil monsters
humans live in an illusion
created by unseen forces
and in their own minds
a man will believe
anything a woman tells him
this alone wipes out
any argument in favor
of the human race
being the smartest
creatures found on Earth
how could human being be
as smart as all that
this has always been the lie
told to human beings
by wiser unseen forces
which holds human beings
in total slavery
by one trick or another
all it takes
is an illusion created
in their minds
