Look - the Rainbow Is Faraway

I didn't spin dreams before I met you;
but those proved false and illusions too.
I wondered if life has a story to share...
Something fairytale-like: precious and rare.

Yet each day I longed to be loved;
you shared thoughts, but my soul starved.
Phone calls were frequent; Skype and Watsapp.
Still your indifference put us in a trap.

Neither you nor I could be blamed;
by destiny our situation was framed.
Our perspectives pushed us in different ways.
What we wanted was difficult to guess.

Only if we had not met before marriage;
with the plot weaved differently on the stage.
The knot could have given us reasons to hold;
even if by families to each other we were sold.

Thoughts lure by; memories pull me back,
yet when I see how your commitments lack...
I smile at life and thank for saving me-
A knot with you would have bind me to a tree..!!

You are human. You have feelings too.
I should have accepted anything you do.
While you were experimenting; I fell in love,
it was not your choice, so a broken-heart I deserve.

Game of Chess

Can I write about you?
Would you open up to me;
And allow your heart break free…
Let yourself float in the waves of life.
Will you let me chain your soul for a while?
Not to posses you but to listen to your heartbeats,
And love you just to feel your rhythm.

I will… I will let you go,
Once I capture you in my words.
Till then, will you give yourself to me?
Like you have done before so many times…
To prove your need, to amuse yourself and ego!
I remember the stories you shared with me on that beach,
You had finished our last crate of beer.

Will you come again…?
Meet me and take me along in your spree.
Let us create a story whether you like it or not.
Give me a present; let me reach your core and nurture.
Do I have to love you for that? Or can I just naturally pretend?
Let me feel your existence, breathe your scent, and explore your mystery.
Shall we go again to that enchanted moment?

Why don’t you answer me?
What have I done, that others didn't do to you?
Yet don’t you see I have tried to understand you-
And I have given you what others could not...
A belief to live with...!
