This Beautiful
close your eyes now and dream of lands
we'll build our future upon those sands
open your ears now and let me whisper
let me tell you how we'll get there
hold my hand now and feel so safe
we'll be flying high above everyone else
rest your head now on my shoulder
even when we stop this feeling's not over
until the horizons of your heartbeat
to the earth beneath your feet
beyond the warmth of your breathe
I'll never let go, of this beautiful
open your heart now and let love inside
see what i see looking into your eyes
wrap your arms around and hold on tight
that feeling of you too much to embrace
open your eyes now awake to your sunrise
you are my day and my sweet night
close your eyes now and where they met
we will grow old underneath your sunset

Butterfly wings
you sit and wait for the sunrise
painting pictures on the walls of your wounded heart
sitting by the window writing words on the frosted pane
hoping that they'd come to life and wash your failures away
you sit and wait for the firelight
sad thoughts dancing like the shadows of a flame
sitting by the bedside knees to the ground
throwing prays down your wishing well
you fly on butterfly wings
looking over mountain tops
for that everlasting love

your words like cyanide poisons my soul
feels like my ears buried down your throat
and still my needle goes round and round
as you spread your faith
like a preacher on meth
I am a self mutilating masochistic puppet
and I'm dancing to your flame
let me kill myself so
we can keep your world the same
no matter what you say
I'll always stay this way
no matter what your gods do
I'll never give into
sow your seeds from your hole
into me as if something will grow
and still my soul in the lost and found
as you find your crown
king in the world of dumb
I am a self medicating delusional animal
and I'm pouncing to your whip
let me drown myself to
keep afloat your make believe ship
no matter what you say

no matter what your gods do

as much as you try you cannot mold this clay

find an altar, with pieces of my heart
your promises dripped in blood
let's resurrect this love
resurrect this love...
the night screams and I can't sleep
the footstep of memories haunt my dreams
just like in horror movies you reach for me
ice cold hands and I can't breathe
dark thoughts wonder around in my head
feasting off my hate like the living dead
just like in the macabre I'm with you in death
ice cold hands and steal your breathe
until the day I find the love to slain
this monster created in my name
this pain will sip and drain
and like a ghost I'll fade away
find an altar, with pieces of my heart

gave me the key to your soul
"come inside", you said and stay for a while
spent some time hanging out inside your soul
as the days pass by I come to feel at home
uncovering these cracks and holes you hide inside
realizing that's what makes you so incredible
the world outside spinning around
and here we sit warmed by your heart
those flames keeping us safe and sound
your love our guarding hound
spent some time hanging out inside your soul
your favorite thoughts pumping out your stereo
snuggled up on your couch we watch your memories play
frame by frame the scenes of your sad and happy
the world outside cannot understand
a place where beds are never made
you can always find a warm bed
a place to rest your heavy head
gave me the map to your soul

the falling
your light can't save me
those wings to small to hold
this weight burdening me
the falling
your light can't save me
those sweet words can't stop
this hunger craving me
a shadow born from broken light, you came and took my life
I am searching for the seam, where I end and you begin
your razor blades in my head, bleeding the me still left inside
tried healing but these needles, grow to thin to break skin
and with one push we're falling again...
see those small round eyes, lives a promise of a new life
these colors are fading fast, your shadow cast it to black
and just like that we're falling again...
although I find the faith to face
this reflection of what I have become
I will also be reaching my feet to find
a safe ground that will never come
I will always be falling...
