The Blind Man of Tougan

A blind man fell into a pit
In a public garden in Tougan
Can I pull you out?
Shouted a passer-by
No! He shouted and screamed and lamented;
I prefer starving to death in this pit.
Why not jump out and save your life?
No! B’cos I have loved without obtaining love.
Don’t you know Mr. Blind man!
That Love is blind?
Yes! Love is blind,
But the blind is not loved.
So I have chosen intentionally
To end my life in this pit,
When he was rescued by the police
He cursed and promised to kill the constable
Who pulled and forced him out.
This blind man,
Is a crazy blind man of Tougan.

Boko Haram

Read more at: http://www.poetrysoup.com/member_area/submit_poems.aspx
Bandits Boko Haram, notorious religious discriminators
Organized by the so called defenders of Allah,
Killing and maltreating of human beings and
Opposing to modern civilization and human rights

Hell and the burning fire shall be your dwelling, for
All shall be judged by the Almighty God;
Rapists and kidnappers without faith and honor
Aboubakar Shekau and his infidel notorious gang,
May Allah pardon them for their unpardonable sins.

Am the Owner

I have my life to lead
My own precious life
If it’s my life,
Then you should know
Am the owner

The morning breakfast
The midday lunch
The night dinner
Concerns nobody
Co’s I am the owner

The owner of my life
Is really me,
Understand and bear in mind
My destiny, my life
Am the owner.

Butterfly

Read more at: http://www.poetrysoup.com/member_area/submit_poems.aspx
Walking along the waterside
One evening of a sunny Sunday
With a basket full of flowers
Into it fell a butterfly!

Fly! Fly! Away
Butterfly, you better fly
With your wings,
Full of beautiful colors

In my basket,
Though full of flowers
Is without nectar,
So butterfly, you better fly.

Walking along the waterside
One evening of a sunny Sunday
With a basket full of flowers
Into it fell a butterfly!

Fly! Fly! Away
Butterfly, you better fly
With your wings,
Full of beautiful colors

In my basket,
Though full of flowers
Is without nectar,
So butterfly, you better fly.

 Walking along the waterside
One evening of a sunny Sunday
With a basket full of flowers
Into it fell a butterfly!

Fly! Fly! Away
Butterfly, you better fly
With your wings,
Full of beautiful colors

In my basket,
Though full of flowers
Is without nectar,
So butterfly, you better fly.

Us White Policemen

Here comes the story of a beloved Nation
powerful, Civillzed, and democratic,
Blacks and Whites in the same Army
Whites and Blacks in the same Navy;
Both of them in the same Police.
But when the White policemen
Kills the Black Youths,
Often and often without severe punishment
I guess it's not just a simple encouragement
Justice! Where are you?
Only the Black youths faces
The White Police Bullets,
Justice! Listen to the desperate Waillers.
United States of America
Or Divisional Youths of America?
Justice! Where are you?
But if a Black Policeman
should kill a White youth,
What a great Earthquake that will be
Justice! For the Black victims
Of the Racist White Cops.,

Ending the life of the innocents
Both sexes and ages you destroy, to
Offer widows and inconsolable orphans;
Lamentation and mourning to my motherland

Kousse the Drunkard

Read more at: http://www.poetrysoup.com/member_area/submit_poems.aspx
Once in the village of Daka in Burkina Faso,
Lived Koussé the incorrigible drunkard
Very popular was he that his presence was necessary
In all the ceremonies and feasts and meetings,
Wifeless and childless and houseless and penniless was he
But was feared and respected and admired by all.

He is sharp tongued and short tempered
And knows all the secret and history of everyone,
I shall never die till I’ve revealed all your abominations,
And witchcraft and adulterous acts! He’d say
Go away Koussé! You’ve drunk your brain
And chewed your sense!
Yes! I’ve nothing but my senseless boneless rotten baldhead.

He died one rainy midnight lonely and miserably
With a calabash full of alcohol beside his corpse,
Koussé is gone! Some shouted and danced;
All the hidden secrets and history and abominations
Still remains in the village of Daka up till this day.
