Vernon Songer Poem
"5 Years lost in a week,
Decisions Determine your Fate,
So if your choice is to leave me,
Then that’s the choice, you'll have to make,
I've given you my world,
Disoriented but True,
Your heart was filled
I desired nothing but you,
So as you run away from home,
Remember my love is not far away
I'll do my best to carry on,
But, even better if you stay,
My Dreams revolved around the way your eyes moved
My life was planted around you with roots going abroad,
My biggest fear was losing my muse, you,
And now this Tragedy has taken away my love,
So go as far away as you can,
My words, so sad, so true
Come back to me when you can comprehend
The words, "I'll always love you" "
No Really, Tell me what you really think. I can take obstructive criticism

Vernon Songer Poem
The night was long and restless,
So I watched the sun come up,
As I sat, watched, and listened,
The trees whispered sweet nothing in my ears,
While the birds played me an undiscovered melody,
And in this moment of nirvana,
I realized a key element of my life,
In this corrupt world of miscommunication and misguidance,
THERE IS STILL PEACE,
Not through sex, drugs, or music,
But through the eyes of a child,
The warmth of a loved one,
The look of happiness and excitement on a strangers face,
And YES the silence in the early morning dew misting the grass,
As I stared in at the beauty not yet defined by another,
PEACE,
And So as I sat watching the trees sway back and forth bringing life into this
death bound world,
I sat…
Listened…
And Felt something that I thought could only be felt in a dream,
I felt Peace

Vernon Songer Poem
A Love Only Dreamt Of
3,972 Bricks on the west side,
of the Pirtile technology building,
I sat, Stared and thought about her
Beautiful face. And As I counted,
Reminiscing of that day she looked
Deeply into my ocean blue eyes and
Said, I think I love you. A little..
I realized a virtue of life
Love is a paramount quality of life.
If I died tomorrow I would die
a happy man. You see for every
Brick I counted on that wall I thought
Of a new feature about her I loved
And It seemed that love was never
Ending because…
I Ran out of Bricks.
3,972 Bricks on that wall, and not
One is a strand short of perfection
Call Me "No Life"
Call Me "Crazy"
But, I'd Do It Again
