Drugs

Words.
These words merely written on paper.
They do so much good for the soul.
They're something miraculous.
Like spun gold from the dull lead embedded in a wooden frame.
It become your safe haven.
You begin to scribbled until your bones are corroded with artheritis and your skin cracks and bleeds, because you need it.
It's like drugs. A fiction addicition.
You become so drowned in your own thoughts that what you thought was real slips away from you.
You begin to see things differently and you cringe at ignorance because you've bettered yourself through your addiction to literary diamonds.
These words, these treasures, these positive drugs, they become the beat in your heart.
And you hope and pray to anything that it won't be taken away from you.
Because not all drugs are bad.
Some are just red wine and liquid gold that we choose to ignore.

I Think I'Ve Gone Mad

Something is odd and broken
My heart hurts with lies unspoken.
This smile you see
it is plastered on me.
Inside I'm hurting
surprised i can feel
because none of this hardly ever seems real.
This poem of truth
written from the top of my head
I can't help but think
that I would much rather
be dead.

Fluttering Heart and Knotted Stomach

I sit here with my mind in in a tangle and twist.
Wondering how in the world did it get like this.

My stomach is in a knot, and my heart is racing.
Hoping you're mine for the taking.

Your melodic laugh and dazzling eyes will be the death of me,
I swear.
All of this I think while I play with your cinnamon colored hair.

How crazy and blissful,
How absolutely remarkable.

There's nobody in this world that I've met
that is more likeable.

Complicated Puzzle Piece Feelings

You mean a lot to me.
More than you think. When you're near me it feels as if beauty fills my lungs and enters my bloodstream as fast as lightning.
And when you look at me I never want to look away because when I look at you I feel at home.
There's something about you, something amazing that I've never even seem to have heard of and I want to feel that way forever.
I want to always feel beauty in my bloodstream and I always want to see home in your eyes because without you I come apart like bad glue on an arts and crafts project.
And if at some point you're happier staying than leaving I will let you leave because even though I will crumble to pieces I won't care because you'll be happy and that's all that matters.
I love you to the moon and back.
I love you more than these galaxies and I have never meant something so much in my life.
And I'm sorry if sometimes I'm annoying or dumb or weak because sometimes I try to hard to be perfect because all I want is to be perfect for you.
But darling, I am nothing special. Nor is this paragraph. It is simply a long list of my complicated puzzle piece feelings.

Shattered Glass

Go ahead and sit there.
Rip my glass heart out and throw it to the ground.
Step on it with bare feet and smile at the pain that shoots through you.
Smile at me, crying and begging you to stop.
I'm made of paper, my scars ripping open and igniting like flames.
I hate you.
I hate this everlasting pain that I feel.
I once said your eyes looked like the galaxy and now I believe they
resemble the blackest frozen waters.
Oh, what I would give if I could just wish it all away. Everything.
You tear every part of me apart, and smile while doing it.
You kill me like a bullet to the chest and the worst part is,
I let you.
I allowed you to throw me around, lie, and play me like a game.
Well I'm done, tired, no more games.
Because I don't play games with people who don't play fair.
So take your pity and shame and play it else where,
because this stadium is closed,
and this glass is shattered
