Betty Jo Baca Poem
Of all the gifts God has given me
The most precious is my granddaughter
From the tiny baby so delicate
To the toddler with tangled long hair
To the chatty 4 year old with golden locks
To the inquisitive child in school
I can’t wait to see her in her next stage
I am enjoying being an aging grandparent
Of such a wonderfully full of herself child
Thank you God for Lauren, My Most Precious.

Betty Jo Baca Poem
To the one whose love is mine
All the joys of heaven in him I find
No words are great enough to define
The love; if our hearts combine.
To the one who loves me too
I know of a love as do few
Cherished is the time of just me and you
Sharing a lifetime of love’s perfect hue.

Betty Jo Baca Poem
I was asked how I survive
I knew this was a serious question
I knew a lot depended on my wisdom
It was guidance they were asking for
Did I know the answer?
I quickly asked God for the answer
And the answer came to me
I just let it flow from me
Please let it be the right words
To strengthen this person
“I live one day at a time
I do the best job I can
I am the best person I can be
I love with all my heart
And everything else will take care of itself.”
I was surprised at my words.
But I knew that is how I live each day
I am a survivor
With the Lord to guide me
Each and every day.

Betty Jo Baca Poem
When a death comes, it fills us with overwhelming sorrow
The total loss of that loved one is a horror
You lose your future of tomorrows
Without that love ones guidance to borrow
At first, we deny the event making us so sad
It is the most unreal dream we have ever had
If I deny it, am I bad?
I just want the love, I once had.
A void forms within us that will kill
And love from the family does not fill
It does not seem real
But with time we begin to feel
With time we will heal
Seeking God's guidance to feel
A wholeness and again we are able to deal
With life and in prayer as I humbly kneel
Asking that this pain be removed from me
Let me once again be me
But that is for God to see
What he has planned for me.

Betty Jo Baca Poem
How does one define Faith?
It’s unseen; but you can see it in people
It’s untouchable; yet felt inside
It’s trust of the unknown; yet unexplained
It’s in one’s soul or absent by choice.
