I Pray For a Sign

I PRAY FOR A SIGN

Lost in the world I see no vision
Amidst my fellow men I see subdivision
Death is but a necessity and not a decision
The world is doomed, God heeds to no admission

Tears tainted on the faces of the unborn
Our world is doomed as our mothers still mourn
Crying day and night we hope for a new dawn
A better tomorrow is as good as a light at the end
                  of the tunnel unknown

Mother deliberately drowns her new born in hot boiling water
While a father rapes his one and only five year old daughter
The world is at end as we are bound for the slaughter
Be warned of the last days because we are
                   still in the last quarter

Voices of sorrow echo inside my head
My heart bleeds more, each time children are
                                                     pronounced dead
The wars we started never to end
Is this the life that of which we shall die?
                                                     Like we never cared…

An Apology To Your Loved Ones

An Apology to the people loved & lost (dedication)
just for closure.
I had a vision and I grabbed it
Sought after a long verge to succeed and I dreamt of it
Unaware of what I had become
Pained-heart-blood-stained tears I will never succumb
For the pain caused
The misunderstandings never clarified
Feelings never fought for
Mistakes to hearts left sore
Scores settled in vengeance
A visioned plot with only “I” in emergence
A detrimental being set-forth I conquer
Moment of silence for the love lost, for closure
Self-made pioneer designed by God to prosper
In “her” heart I hope I left a mark for posture
Still in mine…
I only wish she knew I wasn’t an imposter
From a distance
I post my love sealed with heart crumbs
In first instance- that’s how we fell in love the first time
Bitter sweet
How love feels after the future in past time
Marked territories, course, paths
In avoidance we will never meet
Out of love fear respect, your wish granted in a heart-beat
The tricks of time…
If we cross-paths I will always greet
Unapologetic to the sympathetic
Thoughts of success an adrenaline rush to the charismatic
I should’ve known…
Even love wears off from the charismatic…
I thought I knew till I lost a few
I’m only human, not an excuse, but a better view
Forgive to forget not
I chose my path for the success still sought
Second chances by all means offer second mistakes
I only wish patched-up friendships to re-trace the steps
A simple nod in acceptance in the name of family
A soft kiss on the forehead in remembrance of love
From souls departed, a sign of acceptance from above
For what I have become
The impact you have made
Forgive but forget not, only for closure…

I Dreamt of You Last Night

Your soft skin drawn close to mine
Your swift lips stayed glued to mine
Swayed back n’ forth we held hands,
till you whispered into my ear
Gentle touch I kissed every inch
Adrenaline rush, our hearts beat out o’ reach

You looked deep into my eyes
Smiled and whispered, “You are mine”
My hands all over your body
Out of control, you begged I’d stop
In no second later you wished we’d never stop
Your body I kissed from head to toe

Moans and groans, the sounds of love we chanted
Our hearts desire the pleasure of love granted
Your lingerie slipped…

Your beautiful body unveiled
The image so vivid compliments of curves in the right places
The moment so real, true love like magic

You squeezed my hand tight as I grabbed you close
To do or not to do, what we did we chose
Our bodies tossed and turned
Our emotions breached, crossed and burned

Heavy breathing, with you mounted on my neck
Your facial expression signaling for more
From the bed to the floor
Substantial energy I held your body
                            aligned against the door

Blurred visions afterwards, the alarm clock rang
A new day dawned birds sky high sang
Back to reality, the sun through my curtains
                                     shone bright with light
I dreamt of you last night...

Put Some Church To It

Born in greed, torture and hate
I built bridges long enough to overturn my fate

Dire expectations…
I made sure I paid no heed to silly temptations

Interlude to the start of a new journey
I designed options
Set my goals into massive proportions
Selective memory…
I devised a form of poetry without being bound by precautions

We live to die
And yet we work to live in the hope for a better future

What if we are not part of that future?

An exception to such mentality
I paved a way to success without death as a formality

Christ the redeemer…
Unrelated to the content, but a simplification to your enigma

You should know this by now…

Only conquerors are true believers
Crying foul yet you mingle with unbelievers
HE never lives
Setbacks pioneer greater comebacks to the one who believes

I am not a preacher
However in the gospel termed “richer”

Out of reach, out of sight
Set forth my hand to write, to be and become
In this offering God will delight

The True Love of a Mother

THE TRUE LOVE OF A MOTHER
_______________________________________________

An ideal mother soon to be
She constantly rubbed her belly with affection
Smiling as she indulged into a mother-to-child conversation
Her joy none could measure
The thought of a child brought about delight aligned
with a form of immense pleasure

She marveled with every kick and movement
Her pain faded every time she felt that particular moment
She labored day and night,
In preparation for a better world for the child
With every drip of sweat she worked with all her might
Her motherly instincts so sharp and precise even before birth

Barren for years, her prayers were finally to be answered
Blessings would evolve with the coming of the child
Her prospects of a family to build,
Renewal of a relationship, the end of a family feud
A bridge to build in a family torn apart
A light to rediscover the path to a once lovely marriage to a fresh new-start

In anticipation she waited…
Nine months later she buried…

Her child died during birth that day
She never had the chance to smile back at her,
To start a new conversation face-to-face,
To cherish and love with her all,
A baby daughter would have been born that day
The Lord took away her last lifeline

In a world so cruel reasons we shall never understand
Complications we can never point to
It never rains but pours
In her deepest thoughts she no longer makes a sound
A part of her died that day and is never to be found
Her loss she carries
The burden inscribed in her heart

She never stopped caring
Her marriage ended with her loss
Her soul-mate wanted a biological child she could never give
She never got to be blessed with another child

In all her struggles she still visits her
A love so strong the heavens couldn’t separate
Every month she dedicates her time to the child she never had
In the grave lies a daughter loved till this day
Her name “Beloved” inscribed on her tombstone and in her
                                                                      mother’s heart to stay….

I

I.
A staircase of dreams aligned in a nimble mind.
A specimen-proof of evolution to man-kind.
A closed book
Cohabilitated hindrance
Uneasy, complicated.
Same words of different significance.
You can never read my mind.
Humble enough to boast in pride.
A form of prominence mixed with simple elegance.
Hybrid species.
To be or not to be?
I am not one of your kind.
You can never simply subdivide.
I see you see?
I see “beyond”,-re-defined.
Doomed to succeed.
My words a tool for revolution.
To conceal a gift
Yet to live in guilt
A constant reminder.
I paved way to be and become.
To do or not to do?
I wrote on stone in broad daylight.
My words gladly shone from dusk to dawn after midnight.
Sublime nemesis
A form of art was born
I am.

Artistic Impression

ARTISTIC IMPRESSION

Sequo ane aneleli
Ruthless enchantment signed peneli
Deep linguistics conveyed temporali
French-mistic concerns of one Mr. Pateli
A shrine of words deeply negated
A form of style simply paginated
Tongue-twister relative of pronounciation – the bigger picture
Thoughts bigger than the box
Thoughts like keys secured in a knox
Change of plan,-action; a detrimental hoax
Consequences of thinking outside of the box
Pay heed to listen
Marksman with an arrow coated in glisten
Levitate your mind to embrace wisdom
Silence is golden in the event of an argument raised in confusion
A life planned is pre-mediated murder substance of an illusion
Mixed words of no meaning devour intelligence
The human brain is encrypted with its own elegance
Analysis defragmenter –prophets foretell
Analysis coordinator – preachers re-tell
Sermons attended from devout ministers –you say?
True lords of great speech per se
Due acceptance from the masses departed out of reach
A set piece not destined to offer a perfect goal
Forgotten like the New Year’s resolutions before the end of fall

Dearly Departed

DEARLY DEPARTED
In the depths of loneliness
Deep despair in my lonely hour
A sigh of disbelief
To be of such importance in my life and leave without a goodbye
Left seeking for the love treasured
In my darkest hour the pain measured
Sharp jabs as my heart pounds heavily
Trembling lips as I moan hysterically
In a dark corner praying
No answers from above- HE has stopped listening
Curses to the above – why, why!
Tear-drop stains…
On this paper I convey with you no longer here
Greatly missed
Gone too soon
Words said but never cherished enough
Life is too short but never defined
Living without you…
A constant reminder,
I thought you said you would always be there?
In my darkest hour the sorrow I can’t bear
Memories linger on the times shared
Moments shared never to be re-lived
Before my first breath,
My first words, my first steps…
You knew me more than I did
Endured knowing I was not the same as the others
When others had two… I had you
A dark cloud cushioned with sorrow
My future bleak-shadowed
What now?
My hearts desire blemished
Crashing blow to the love cherished
Never to be forgotten
More than a mother’s love
When we meet again…
Probably the reason why you never said goodbye
Under this earth you lie
In my heart to stay
Dearly departed, thank you for being my mum…

Since You'Ve Been Gone

Since you’ve been gone.
I lost you…
Died within to reform a better me
Consoled my fears to become a better me
Hid my tears to show a stronger me
My feelings dealt with
I no longer write to please
My words a sharp jab never to appease
I changed…
Never been approved
Never been achieved
Never been unleashed
My heart in chains never to feel
Never been tamed
Never been construed
All the negatives turned to positives…
Numb to my feelings I still write to be free
My words a death-wish to your prominence
A subdivision to a lingering dominance
You succumbed to their lies
Certified your hopes to fake cries
Love is not what you seek no more
A clean slate…
No more destiny or luck to consider the term “fate”
New and improved
The past-a-fortress built within
Dear old me, goodbye…

The Last Love Poem

THE LAST LOVE POEM

Like a dry carcass I feel nothing no more
Empty inside
Still picking up the pieces you tore
A once overflowing fountain of love,
Your love filtered from its inhabitance…

My heart filled with red,
Course vein, a gush tainted with sorrow bled
Heartbroken by your mixed emotions
A part of you smiles “blank space” and blows a kiss
A fortress built to keep me away- amiss?
A skipped chapter consolation to your needs,
Like I never happened…

A part of your life you “loved” for so long
Yet to conceal its last chapters with a title from a simple song
Words I can’t ever take back
Memories
I wish we had, to take us aback…

I don’t hate you,
Never did, never will
It just so happened you were a “jilt”

Forgive my words, forgive my actions,
I never meant to waste your time
Like a kite, I flew in endurance to your change of wind
A ping-pong ball hit back n’ forth,
From your love to your rejection
Back and forth you showed me remorse and affection

My sin to love, even after, my only regret of affection
A gazelle lost in the woods of your feelings,
You thrust an arrow to the heart whilst un-expecting

To you I wish pure love
To you I grant my ever pending thoughts of our time cherished
Blurred ink on the love shared in our chapters
Pages erased without any warning whilst I still held onto

It takes two to love
I wish you find someone who will,
the same as I did for both of us…
