Farmers Wish

FARMERS WISH

Woke up this morning with the sun in my eyes
Wishing for rain in the clear blue skies
We’re faced with a problem every single day
Our stocks are all dying right were they lay

Tanks are all empty once again, bore’s all dead & dry
Banks want more money, but lord how I try
Year after year praying for rain
Hail Mary, my prayers are in vein

I can remember when I was a boy
My dad and his dad too, had so much green
Had so much green green grass

We used to play and swim in the creek
But all that I’m left with is barren ground
More dead sheep, stacked ten deep

I can’t give up not while I breath
Cause I’m a fair dinkum Aussie guy,
Who never ever gives up
Too much to live for before I say goodbye

So while there is food on the table and a beer in hand
I’ll keep on fighting for my home on the land
With my wife standing tall along my side
We’ll keep on fighting till the day we say goodbye

No Time To Say Goodbye

Way back then we were young
We knew we had something going on
You had that glisten in you’re eye’s
That shone with streaks across the sky

We left that night way up in the sky
The day we had to let things lie
No time to say goodbye
Only time to wonder why
We had something going on

Still remember that terrible day
The day we had to say goodbye
We loved each other like no tomorrow
Like We’re living on time that’s borrowed

There ain’t no time to weep
Memories loved ones time to keep
We’re with the ones we love
But only from high above

We’re there when you breathe
We’re there when you sleep
We’re there every day of the week
Love us like we’re here today

Stay True

Your heart so true
Your heart so strong
Stay forever truthful
For no matter how long

Life is full of test
From ones we love best
Nothing left to prove
Time for sorrow has passed
Let the weak be weak
You are eternally strong
The strong live forever long.

It's time to move on
With ones who are true
renounce the untrue
While they feel blue
Be true to yourself
For that's why I Love you

Second Chance

I wake to heartache each day of my life
It’s been the same since I was a child
No father figure that I recall
Just the abuse and the drunken brawls

I just wish that I could change it all
Back the way I want it to be
Just me and mum and my sisters too

Here I lay no place to call home
Sick of coming down all alone
I need a fix my aching bones

Yea!!! One big happy family
Back the way it should have been
Just me and mum and my sisters too

My home today is six by four
Bars all around and a lock on the door
Do as you’re told every single day
Cause if you don’t there’s hell to be payed

I just wish that I could change it all
Back the way I want it to be
Just me and mum and my sisters too

I’m not to proud of the road I walk
Hurt to many people the way I live
It’s time for me to be a man
Yes it’s time for my little man
Yes It’s time for him to have a dad
It’s time to be there for my little man

It’s time for me to be a man
Yes it’s time for my little man
Yes It’s time for him to have a dad
It’s time to be there for my little man

Yea!!! One big happy family
Back the way it should have been
Just me and mum and my sisters too

Roundabout To Hell

Roundabout to Hell

Woke with thunder within my head
Feeling like I wish I was dead
Visited the black hole again last night
The place I go to drown out life

Round & Round & Round I go
Where I sleep nobody knows

I live on a roundabout from hell
Dizzy all day never get a spell
Sun beating down blistering my eyes
Need another fix but nobody hears my cries

Round & Round & Round I go
Where I eat nobody cares

I live a life of crime
The only way I exist in time
I have no hope or dreams to live
Tears and heartache are all have to give

Round & Round & Round I go
Where I drink nobody knows

Don’t see my kids no more
All I see is the wrong side of the law
Don’t see my wife no more
Just wish I’d never been born

Round & Round & Round I go
Where & When I stop for good
The Lord be the only one who knows.

Mamma's Coming Home

Woke up this morning with the feeling not right
The day she said good bye
The warm fuzzy feeling had got up and gone away
The day she said good bye

No one can love her as much as me
The day she said good bye
I don’t know how, when or why
The day she said good bye

We had our home and our three kids
The day she said good bye
We sold our house to buy that farm
The day she said good bye

She don’t share the pain the inside we’re feeling every day
We live in hope that just one day mamma’s coming home
She’s gonna walk right in and apologize for all the hurt she’s caused

Give me one more single chance to try and make things right
Remember all the times we had, now I’d like to be you’re wife
Remember all the love we had, I’d like to be yours for life
Give me one more single chance and spend you’re life with me

Remember all the love we had, I’d like to your’s for life
Give me one more single chance and spend you’re life with me
