Oasis

Through arid slopes of the desert desolate,
Where droughts I have quietly endured
And both toil and thirst knew no end
Astray, I stumbled upon mocking fate.
The sand dunes patterned nothing but vain
Wishes were made to chase the rain.
My sunken heart unsure
Of where I have been,
Where I was bound to
And why I walked alone.
Oasis, the sight of you
Brought me to life unknown
All my burdens you took from me
You quenched me, cleansed me too.
I learned to breathe a new symphony
Oasis, listen to me, for this I am sure,
You are my comfort, my loving cure.

Moment of a Lifetime

MOMENT OF A LIFETIME

That moment
when we ran out of words,
we kept silent and still
for we both understood
the eye-language; there was
the fluency of silence.
We lived in that moment
that is more than a lifetime.

Take Me To a Marketplace

TAKE ME TO A MARKETPLACE

Take me to a marketplace
where I can get a rose garden
in exchange of my old pen.

Take me to a marketplace
where I can buy hundreds of trees
with just a handful of seeds.

Take me to a marketplace
where I can trade my old book
with one library nice and good.

Take me to a marketplace
where what I have is so much,
so much more than enough.

Nobody Is Promised Tomorrow

NOBODY IS PROMISED TOMORROW

Nobody is promised tomorrow;
We may not live to see the next days.
If today is our last, are we ready to go?
As we breathe now, we live only by His grace.
He leads us in the paths of righteousness.
He knows when we are in sorrow or gladness.
So even if we are not sure of what is next,
we must trust Him and all the rest
will go according to His plans sure
of the past, the present, and the future.

If Life's Unfair

IF LIFE’S UNFAIR

If ‘twas my lot to carry heavy loads,
I’m afraid, however, I will not refuse
to tread on to the roughest of roads,
and test the limits of my sinews.

If you can just choose, will you transit
only the roads straight and smooth?
Or will you brave the long winding route
that grants wisdom and strength of spirit?

If life’s unfair to you and me,
unfair to them and to many,
then life is fair, fair share of sore.
To life we must complain no more.

With Joyful Heart

WITH JOYFUL HEART

I sing of Your Name
with joy in my heart.
I praise You, Lord Jesus Christ.
I can’t stand when we’re apart.
Your Divine Love sustains me.
It is Your Will I seek daily.
Your Light leads me to the right way;
You give me strength every day.
I fear no one, I fear nothing
as long as You are with me.
Your Holy Name I live to praise.
In this life I live in Grace.
