Hope Returns

What is it to be in darkness.
Who is it who walks in shadow.
The night is his hound.
The fog is his blanket.
Who is he who is wrapped in starlight.
Beauty to the eye but danger to the heart.
Who is he to tug a tear.
Despair sits at his right.
And depression at his left.
Anxiety is his footstool and fear his cup bearer.
Who is he to drive out the fruit of strength and to plant the seed of weakness.
What is he to lure the youths rebellious and curious heart.
And send home a crooked soul.
Where is he where terror thrives and nightmares rule.
What is it that stands against him.
It is the innocence of children.
It is the babies first laugh.
It is the moment of truth when she discovers love.
It is when the fire of passion brings the dawn.
And the weeds of pain are shriveled by the shining sun.
The day comes.
The light comes.
The hope returns.

Know Me

Know me not as a delicate flower, but as a strong tree with deep roots of faith.
Know me not as a small fragile princess, but as a mighty warrior queen.
Know me not as a flatterer, but as a noble weaver of words.
Know me not for the small girl I am, but for the strong woman in God I will become.
~Know me by this, for this is me!

Love

Ever the shadow looms over the dark, dreary night.
That which was thought to be understanding turns to insecurity.
The hours float by as we try to reach enlightenment.
Love is the mystery yet to be solved,
And fear burrows into brave men's hearts as she stares into his soul,
But warmth comes into his heart as her gaze shifts to his eyes,
And in her eyes he sees the emotions in his heart returned.
The shadow is lifted and we begin to understand that which we are born to do,
Love.

This Is Love

Holding a knife to your heart for her,

Willingly serve the other,

Always gazing with love at each other,

This is love,

Selflessly giving to another,

Just seeing the other produces joy,

Helping the other earnestly,

~This is Love~

The Night

The night is when the stars begin their delightful performance
The night is when the graceful wolf greets its mother moon
The night is when dreams weave in intracate patterns
The night is when the sun sings its own lullaby
The night is the most lovely
The night is the most powerful

My Downfall

My eyes are blue and enticing they say,
But they don't see the pain,
My smile could melt the devil's heart,
But they don't see me falling apart,
Behind my quirky demeanor is a hurt soul,
I need that love, but he doesn't see...
His ignorance will be my downfall.

My Friend In Another World

Far Far far away but you feel so close
There are haters but we don't care about those

To meet is our only dream
And dressing up is our scheme

One day we will come face to face
And be held in each others embrace.

The Badlands Cowboy

The wild stallion's whinny echos across the harsh, dry canyons,
The sun dries the lands, leaving only cacti,
But the cowboy, strong and proud sits on his mighty stallion,
The king of the Badlands,
The coyote whimper as he passes,
The snakes slither away at his step,
All bow to him,
King of the Badlands.

I Sense

I hear the thunder of the galloping horse
I see the eagle soar as it claims the sky
I smell the delight of the lotus' first bloom
I taste the sweet dew of the oncoming spring
I feel the soft velvet of the lion's coat
In this I sense the return of the sun and the retreat of the cold, harsh winter.

I Awaken

As the sun smiles at the horizon
As the breeze kisses the grass
As the waves caresses the sand
As the moon sleeps with the sea bed
As the birds sing their songs of love and wonder
As this time comes...
I awaken.
