The Day I Died

Today is the day I died
Young girl who loved the forest
The wind and all that’s wild
Young girl who used to sit
Under an old oak tree
That offered her protection
A cradle for her thoughts
Young girl who didn’t care
About this silly world
That kneels us down
And makes us weak
Goodbye young girl
With curly hair
Goodbye sweet purity
Goodbye my youth
Will we ever meet again?

Colours of My Life

The dark blue of the sea
The hidden parts of me
The reasons that I seek
The pain that makes me weak
The troubles of my mind
The meanings that I find
In every little thing
A bird with broken wing
A hope that isn’t dead
The words that will be said

I stay awake and wait
Although it’s much too late
For it to come at night
A dream in red and white
A whisper in my ear
Makes me forget the fear
Of darkness and of light
Helps me embrace what’s right
Decipher the old code
At the end of the road

The yellow rays of light
Have put into my sight
The morning of a day
A chance to find my way
A chance to breathe, to smile
And for a little while
To put away my pain
To get wet in the rain
To get brown in the sun
When everything is done.
