Annie Hopfinger Poem
My whole life I
have doubted
myself
You were the one
who thought you were
better than I
You took loved
ones and precious
things that were not
yours to keep
I have been passed on
for opportunities
because of you
You seek to destroy
me because of the
truth you are not
willing to face
you seek to destroy me
you even have a time and
selected place
All these accolades
and beatitudes you
build up for
yourself
The Ivory tower
you yet to build
that is a testament to
your jealousy and hatred
of me
Your yearnings to
accomplish a goal
to have more favor and
talent than I
but loose your soul
You live through
your children's
success
but have none of
your own
