A Sound

Sitting by the sea,
the sounds of the waves dancing with the
sand, heaven lingering above.
In the distance, dark clouds rumble.
A brisk wind sends the sea into angry
swells.
The water and crashes into the sand.
Thunder echoes through the air.
Rain begins in the distance like a train.
The sound grows louder as it nears.
The drops of rain beat the sand with a
fierce rage.
In an instant, it's gone.
The clouds evaporate into the heavens and
the waves gently caress the sand as though
comforting each grain.
The sun sinks into the sea and the night
begins again.

Unmoved

Though the wild wind blows.
Things never move.
Though the seas invade.
Things never change.
I am but a stone.
A continued expanse of earth.
Though the wild wind blows.
I stand unmoved.
Though the seas invade.
I stand unchanged.
Greater forces move mountains.
Still I stand.
In the wind with water about me.
Though the wild wind blows.
Though the seas invade.
I will stand here.
Unmoved, Unchanged.

Weary

Weary thoughts wrap my soul once again.
I lie all alone.
Out in the world you are far from your bed tonight.
My safe keeping left in mine own hand as fear dances around in my tired head.
Sleep evades me.
Oh, Lord, please help me,
my burden has become too much to bear. I am overwhelmed by misery.
One obsticle gone 3 in it's place.
Please, Lord, Take this burden from my weary mind.

Amen

Life Defined

I have so many wounds that there is no way they can ever be healed.
The kindest of hearts, I have turned them against me-
running from and distrusting their intentions.
I have hurt a lot of innocent souls that deserved so much more love and sacrifice.
My heart screams for compassion as my diseased brain confuses
my thoughts into a foggy web of unnatural feelings and unfounded sadness.
The meaning of my pain and frustration hidden in words no human can translate.
Where is the peace promised through love that exists only by voices from the past?
What is truth but not a whisper of perception?
Tears fail to sooth my weary spirit as it screams to escape a hell of battered flesh.
Fear drags me into darkness and into crevasses that deepen
each moment of every hour as I await my inevitable demise.
The meaning of life may not be as elusive as pondered.
Death is the destination therefore life must be the adventure,
the trip from death to death.
Before we live we are dead so death is our beginning and our end.
Life is death in waiting.

Destiny

Forever you are a true love divine,
A true love forever,
You are mine all mine.

Each time you whisper my name,
My heart beats un tame,

The perfect ending to a wonderful day,
When at night,
close together we lay.

Our hearts, our souls,
our passions intertwine.
An omen of our destiny,
instilled in time.

Forever you are a true love divine,
A true love forever,
You are mine all mine.

Years

As I wonder through days gone by,
I listen to the echoes of my own cry.
Once I danced through a grassy field,
now I stroll as far as my knees will yield.
The lines around my smile,
oh, how I would laugh for a while.
Where did all those years go?
How will I ever know?
Tomorrow is yet another day,
I will still remember yesterday.
Am I now old?
Have I reached the age of gold?

Peace

Oh Lord, hear my prayer,
Why hast thou not spoken my name?
Has my weary soul been forgotten?
Shame grips my spirit as I weep deep inside.
Quiet rest is beckoning my mind.
Is not my work done?
Suffering haunts me to no end as the
depths of night turn into tired mornings.
Loneliness has taken hold of my heart once more.
For the sake of destiny,
breathe life into me once more so
that I can be whole again.
Tomorrow is yet another day
but for my body it remains an extent ion of today
and many days before.
Forgive me, Lord, of my trespasses.
I fear the doom of solitude may overtake me.
Save me, my Lord, I await your need for me.

Amen

Without You

My soul is crying as despare from my heart drowns
my spirit with tears of loneliness.
I am forsaken in our bed as the cold sheets
next to my skin remind me of your absence.
In desperation, my mind wonders into memories far reaching days gone by.
Only to darken the hopes of ending a lingering weariness
Heavy eyes burden the concentration of silence
surrounding the room we once shared.
Sleep evades its destination once more
as I am reminde of the rooms emptiness.
I weep tears of silence alone in the bed I made.
Come home to me my love.
Life shall escape me without you here.

Eyes of a Child

Bright spirits,
soft souls,
The eyes of a child.
Full of wonder and life.
An eternity of love in a moment of time.
Never alone in a world of angels.
Heaven sent.
In a mother's heart, the greatest love.
God's gift of eternity in the first smile.
A small miracle in it's first step.
With the hope of the world in a simple kiss
on the cheek.
Sweet tears of joy in the first,
"I love You."
My forever in the eyes of my child.

Indebted

Your wife,
your friend,
I am a small part of your life.
What will I be in the end?
I am devoted to you,
I am yours alone,
yet, you still have no clue.
Can't you tell from the love I have shown?
I would give my life,
I would sacrifice all,
I am just your wife.
Would you let me fall?
What do I owe?
What should I do?
You leave my spirit so low,
but I still love you.
Be a good husband,
someone god would send!
