Bakari Wright Poem
"Seed", poem about love and family, for my girlfriend Kim ??
------
When darkness falls, your spirit is my light,
My world is ordered, banished is the night.
To see your smile is to inhale the spring,
The deepest solace that your presence brings.
My dearest Kim, the future we embrace,
No path is feared when walking at your pace.
For you possess a beauty soft and keen,
The heart's true compass, the most precious scene.
We speak of days where two will soon be three,
A promise whispered, meant for you and me.
A little life that soon will find its start,
The living proof that love is in the heart.
My love for you, a river strong and vast,
The quiet dream that is forever cast.

Bakari Wright Poem
Caught By Surprise
Not writing a poem for years is crazy work,
But she is my motivation.
Standing ovation.
Demanding no replacement of her kindness,
Her energy caught me by surprise,
But not blind sided.
I see HER.
She sees me freely with no judgment.
I love it.
I mean I love HER...
My thoughts of her are poems picked from the most loving poetry book in this section called "Kim". Not sold in stores.
Happy Sigh

Bakari Wright Poem
?? "Storm After the Quiet"
The window rattles with the sudden gale,
The lightning flashes bright across the room,
I watch the branches toss, unsteady, frail.
The rain descends like nails upon the shale,
Dispelling silence, breaking winter gloom,
The window rattles with the sudden gale.
No distant stars this heavy dark unveil,
Only the thunder that seals every tomb,
I watch the branches toss, unsteady, frail.
A frightful, lonely sound begins to wail,
The wind pushes past the window’s loom,
The window rattles with the sudden gale.
I wrap myself within a warmer shawl,
Waiting for morning to reclaim the bloom,
I watch the branches toss, unsteady, frail.
Until the darkness ceases to prevail,
And daylight pushes back the midnight gloom,
The window rattles with the sudden gale,
I watch the branches toss, unsteady, frail.

Bakari Wright Poem
"5th Season"
The papers signed, the silence fell at last,
7 years of effort vanished in the air,
A bitter echo of a hurried past.
We built a home and left it standing bare;
I calculate the minutes that were cast.
The future that we planned now feels untrue,
I trace the map of roads we should not take,
The promises we broke now see us through.
For all the years we labored for its sake,
Now time demands a heavy overdue.

Bakari Wright Poem
Brightens every morning like the sun’s soft rise,
Elegant stride and warmth in her deep eyes.
All the strength of ancient roots she carries with grace,
Unbound joy radiating from her face.
Tender is the spirit that captures all my light,
Incredible woman, shining dark and bright.
Fierce in her truth, a passion I adore,
Unconditional love is what my heart has stored.
Loving her always, forevermore.

Bakari Wright Poem
Always aching, the absence hurts so deep.
Broken silence where sweet memories sleep.
Crying comes, a necessary flood.
Darkest days misunderstood.
Empty space where laughter used to bloom.
Finding strength to leave the lonely room.
Gradually, the sharpest pain gives way.
Hoping brightens with each passing day.
Inside, a quiet calm begins to grow.
Joy is fragile, moving soft and slow.
Kindness learned—to self, and to the past.
Lessons linger; built to truly last.
Moments spent now focused just on me.
New directions, wild and wide and free.
Open doors to possibilities unseen.
Peace returns, serene and ever green.
Quiet comfort in the solitude.
Reaching out for all the good I've viewed.
Sunlight warms a spirit long denied.
Togetherness, but self is now my guide.
Understanding sets the old pain free.
Vibrant soul discovers destiny.
Wisdom gained from battles fought and won.
Xenial future, now the work is done.
Yearning turns to love for who I am.
Zenith reached, escaping the old jam.
