Bully

Another school
Another year
Another chance
To face one's fear
Another day
Another sorrow
Another lesson
That must follow
One more minute
Until the hour
In which the bully
Will make you cower
One more second
In this life
Is all it takes
To grab a knife

Now if only
You could turn back time
Make life into a movie
And hit rewind
If you could do this
And only then
Could you hit play
And start again
But this isn't a movie
This is real
And so my blade
You begin to feel
Slowly
And steadily
Sinking in
And now your blood
Runs out of your skin

(Inspired by the movie: Bowling for Columbine)

The Cliff

We would climb the hills
Peaks and trails
Under the starlit night
Over the slopes
Down the valley
Battling a ferocious fight
It was fun and games
laughs and tears
Until my foot had slipped
But then you grabbed me
And pulled me back up
As your body leaned and tipped
You ended up
Being the one to fall
Down the endless pointed cliff
And I could not explain what I saw
You
On a bed or rocks
Poking from your back which was raw
I ran desperately down to help you
But found that I could not
For when I touched your hand
It felt cold
When it should have been hot
I can't understand
How in one moment
I am consumed by such a fear
And now I am left
All alone
Washing your blood with my tears

Oh Heartbreaker

Oh heartbreaker
You've just committed
The perfect crime
There's no conviction
No sentence
No time
There's no detectives
Covering your tracts
There's no one to make you
Explain why you act
In the way that you do
You just played me
For a fool

Oh heartbreaker
With your perfect crime
You've entered my soul
Without breaking in
And you don't have to pay
for what you have stolen
You've assaulted my pride
And murdered me
From the inside

Oh heartbreaker
You've just committed
The perfect crime
There's no policeman
To bring you in
Behind steel bars
For you to rot in

You Have My Heart

You have my heart
You have my soul
You'll have me
Wherever you go

In the time I've known you
And in the time we've shared
In the times apart
I have always cared

In the words I've said
And in the words I've not
I have always remembered you
I have never forgot

Your eyes, your laugh
Your heart and smile
The many memories
In just a short while

I've held you in my arms
I've held you in my heart
No matter what we go through
We'll never be torn apart

Anywhere

I feel the wind blow
And so I want to go
I'm a different kind of soul
One that's lost
It doesn't have a place
And cannot be controlled

Across the land
Across the sea
Beyond the horizon
Past what man can see

I want to be

Everywhere

Except here

Puzzle

You've torn me into pieces
You've torn me apart
You've ruined my puzzle
And I cannot restart
For I cannot put
The pieces back
When so many pieces
I now lack
I'm beyond the point
Of being broken
I cannot be repaired
For you have stolen
A piece of the corner
A piece of the center
A piece or the border
And I cannot remember
How the pieces were shaped
And so they cannot be remade
I guess I'll never be
The same way again
You've torn me into pieces
You've torn me apart
You've ruined my puzzle
And I cannot restart

Free

Can't you see
This world I was not supposed to be
In
I want to get out
As voices in my head
They begin to shout
And I don't know what to say
As I live my life this way
So instead
I stay silent
I live in my mind
I create
A different place
Where I have no need to escape
I'm where I belong
I no longer long
To be free

The Real Me

Don't you see
This mask isn't me
This isn't who I really am
But every time I let go
And the real me I let show
The look on you face I can't stand
You look disgusted
Like I can't even be trusted
As soon as I peel the mask
Because I no longer wear
What you had placed there
And I reveal who I really am

Life

Wanting to be older
When you're young
Be able to do everything
That hasn't been done
Go to new places
That haven't been seen
And make things real
That you used to dream

Now you're older
Wishing you were young
Thinking about all the things
You wish could be redone
Now you go to places
You've already seen
And now you wonder
Why you no longer dream
