Time

Wasted time, can I get it back?
I'm not sure whether I want it back
Don't catch my symptom, you won't get your normality back
God, my vision blurry, I need you back

Is it possible to not know your destiny here on earth?
As I write these words my managers are discussing my worth
Happiness is allergic to me, maybe it's somewhere beyond this earth
Words in me get a sense of belonging, I then find my worth

Writing on this paper although it writes nothing back
It gives me space to lay these feelings, encouraging me not to look back
Being happy in intervals is distorting, I need that consistency back
God, you said you'll be here, please, I need you back

Tears please stop, the ink on this paper cannot find its worth
Frustration is installed, setting up files dismantling my worth
I want you to say "you need me" so I get a sense of belonging on this earth
I have no report to present to you when I leave this earth

This paper says "I love you too" when there is no one to say it back
Words become imprinted on it as a commitment therefore I cannot take them back
This paper has no judgements, no emphasis on where I lack
I see you are judging saying "he needs to get his confidence back"

What are my contributions here on earth?
Would I be treated as royalty if God sees my worth?
I need to review my terms and conditions of my being here on earth
I will recite these words and let the paper highlight my worth

Wasted time, really though, was it?

Land Rover Range Rover

This is my dedication

I am legend, so just push the start
I will save your family, so just call me Noah's ark
A pause on time as they show gratitude to the craftsmanship
1970 they created me, randomly introduced companionship
I transported the elite, by the way I still do
Range Rover was the name they gave me, so I said I do
It's been 44 years, V-6 or V-8, it maintains the same philosophy
I personify admiration; we read while it's in motion your Autobiography
Oh I forgot, HSE and Supercharged are other alternatives to what you can call me
Each with its legendary design and trim, okay enough about me
I send this invitation to honour me by occupying the rear seats
Yes, the Executive-class individual rear seating, those seats
Offering grand motoring while you show off your wealth
Those who pursue me grasp my worth
My capabilities engraved and stamped off-road
I reign supreme as they make way for me on the road
Take a bet; you can't go wrong with the horse power I possess
6 or 8 speed with pedal shifters, I ask you to regress
Allow me to grace your eardrums with the Meridian sound system
View what lacks around you with a surround camera system

I represent the fourth generation but my history remains intact
I had a conversation with my sister earlier, Evoque, she's compact
We agreed that we are timeless, absolutely classical
Should we pass on, our images are imprinted, just absolutely magical

Mathematical Chemistry

Words would remain caged as her eyes gazed at mine
She resided in my Maths and Science book back in Grade nine
She visited me in my sleep; my dreams were no longer mine
According to my mom, my grades were no longer fine
She solved simultaneous equations for me with her exquisite smile
Took over my Trigonometry, I was Sine while she became Cosine
Theta became love to this heart of mine
Selfishness took over; the strategy was to make her mine
Formed new Laws of Physics, the attraction I could no longer hide
Dark brown watery eyes that made my feet lose a straight line
She remained the X Axis and I the Y Axis that never intersected her line
I could claim that she eventually became mine
but gravity took over as this love intertwined
I fell so hard but I was fortunate to be rescued by this pen of mine

I guess she will never know, Phumlani Mthethwa

I Am

I am a consequence of all things broken
A product trading at different currencies, yes I am
A result of feelings mistaken
I am

I am hatred of what began as love
A visual of a passionate moment, yes I am
A reminder of the once used language of love
I am

I am a realisation of what was lost
A connection between two beings, yes I am
Happiness of what hurts the most
I am

I am a combination of a marriage that was
A voice highlighting your pride, yes I am
Words never said and conversations that was
I am

I am the custody battle being enforced
The significance of an apology, yes I am
A recipe for feelings cursed
I am

I am...................your child

Let's Stay Together Until We Break Up and Make Amends

Cordless, you are on the other side
Our minds made of armour, thoughts safely hidden inside
My key combination has been deactivated, I need to access you
Communicating like lost ships, I see the flashing light in you

Let's laugh again and let happiness have its way with us
Thoughts of how this was established has me thinking God invested in us
Time has allowed distance, that's unacceptable
Broken families, in societies it has become acceptable

How about our names appearing in the encyclopaediea
Our thesis published by the media, that's an idea
We made ground breaking discoveries on love alone
And now you tell me I can do this all alone

We are the pillars of our own life, architecturally speaking
I find my feelings falling relentlessly in a gradient, literally speaking
I need a lab, a vaccine is imperative
Keep this quarantined or else results would be distructive

Did I tell you that you still make me laugh?
Abstract is the label they give our picture lately, that's rough
All I hear nowadays is your lawyer's voice instead of your own
Evidently no blame can be infused into anyone, decisions made were our own

Now I seat across the table from you holding these papers wondering how it
manifested into this
I am partly involved, part of it not being part of your life which led us into this
You seat there mutely almost emotionless
You still look beautiful as the first time I saw you, nothing less

We now have individuals that speak on our behalf
If I could, I would ask you to continue to be my better half
What's good about a half if the other half is missing
In all honesty, it has always been you that i'm missing

Please, come home.

Do I Matter

Hesitation if I should engage myself fully
Letting myself go all in just seems silly
This abstract relationship breeds uncertainty
Fearing the worse, fighting my heart is an everyday reality
I just need a questionable percentage of you
Time is not a luxury, open your soul I need you
Nurturing frustration while my feelings have no reaction
Hoping that mutual is the language spoken to facilitate action
The past is where it should be, let's not embrace it
The future is on hold, we just need to play it
All I need is a questionable percentage of you
The day I was conceived it was always you
I poured my heart and soul on this pen; I do hope it reaches you
On this stream of love trying to locate you
I notice you every day, i'm no stalker
I just have a schedule I drew with my "love marker"
All I need is a questionable percentage of you
It's questionable because authorisation would come from you
Permission to speak freely, I love you
Ever since you graced my eyes I just manage to only see you
You personify my admiration
My biggest weakness, I see you I fight temptation
All I need is a questionable percentage of you, if not all
The question is; "do you see me" or you don't at all?

This Organ We Call the Heart

"The heart is deceitful above all things"
But nursing the strongest connection amongst human beings
Evil resides, individually suppressed but begins from the heart
From the heavens he says "I the Lord search the heart"
As I keep it bottled in, a heart attack is inevitable amongst all things.

Jeremiah 17: 9-10

Please Enter Coordinates To Your Heart

I wrote this unaware, exposing my true vulnerability
Conversed with my pen to halt its ink but paid me no mind as it showed off its ability
Quarantined my heart from further pain exploitation, blatant immaturity
Questioned my ability to forgive since it's you again making my tears fall on this paper uncontrollably
God has given you nothing but time as I wait on you agonisingly
Add any word from you in this love blender and I would have forgiven effortlessly
Love is weird because weirdly it falls on individuals not deserving, that's the policy
I can't question God's ability; he replaced my verbal quality with a pen deservingly
Dad!........yes you, the reason for these squeaky sounds on this paper
I hate the sore existence in me of this anger
Your pride has lost us years plus this pen should be capturing something else
Instead I beg for our souls to reach an agreement before we reach God cause that will be something else
Creating a family without you has this picture looking obscured
Just by you saying "you love me", best believe I will be cured

Feelings

Between these words and this paper lie my feelings
They hold the connection together, no piercings
So abstract I just want to get lost in them
I think I have found a reason not to analyse them
They are multiplying inside, creating families within me
They all have the same vision; to one day make their way out of me
Their seeds are planted in me as a contigency plan to ensure constant
reproduction
They remain on standby for her name to be called
Her beauty speaks a language only understood by them, no subtitles
I speak on their behalf, no rank given to me, basically no titles
To their distinguished calculations i'm not fighting back
I lay words on this paper that gives it life, can't read them from the back
I say, write and do whatever is asked of me and in some twisted way I
approve of it
The new and the old feelings have combined forces, breaking through
sometimes hearing myself saying.........

"Her lips give authorisation for my imagination to work overtiime
Her beauty is painted all over my art gallery for the world to see
Once I have a look at those eyes I can never seem to find my way back to me
Her exquisite taste in everything got me wishing it could rub off on me
Yes, though i'm crazy about her, i'm not nuts
She deserves a yearly supply of cashew nuts
Although she prefers everything sour, I think she's absolutely sweet
Shhhhhhhh, an underground comedian, absolutely hilarious
Her laugh is amazing, her scientifically proven way of displaying excitement"

I need a special task team to keep these feelings under control
A negotiator to evaluate the terms and conditions keeping it under control
But then again where would I be without these feelings.

A Conversation With My Phone

I need you to call me
I see your tears in every digit I dial
Hoping your forgiveness will pick up and warm me
Silence was a sanction given to me without a trial
Seating next to this phone listening to my feelings
Realising that I am I because you are
My stupidity found a loop hole in your feelings
If only you pick up, I will tell you that "you are"
I will stand in this rain demanding for your forgiveness
Create a pile of rocks until I break your window
I love that you are my weakness
As I dream of taking these actions while tears stain my pillow
Please, I need you to call me
I will recite these words on your answering machine
Hoping my voice will find a spot as yours has in me
Forget the world as long as you are mine
All of this love with your name on it
Spray paint this phone booth until you notice me
Your number is a key combination to our happiness, so i'm redialling it
When you receive all 99 of them, please call me.
