Cry For Nigeria My Country

I wake up every
morning
to ask myself
'what's happening'?
God gave us oil in
the Delta,
waters in the Benue
and Niger,
mineral resources
all over.
Though we've no
natural disaster,
but we got loopholes
that need plaster.
And now we are
falling assunder,
that is making me
wonder,
am even behaving
strange like an
anaconda.

We still survive
under the millitary
suppression,
not even to mention
the oppression
of the wild.
Our politicians are
all of pretention,
our leader are
products of greed
and discension,
when we are called
the giants of
Africa, centre of
attention.

Oct 1st 1960 was our
day of freedom,
since then, we threw
away our wisdom,
all in the name of
religion, politics,
what is this?

You will hear
rumours of fighting
in Jos,
killing one another
no remorse,
people are so much
stucked like traffic
in Lagos.
A piece of advice,
dont be suprised.
We gotta move
forward,
cos we are left
behind in the
race-call.

Kaunar Allah

"Kaunar Allah", let
me tell u what it
means in English,
its a love like a
fire that you can't
extinguish,
no wonder am a
Nigerian this love
is making me look
greenish,
I don't have much
but with this love
am been rich.

I wake up every
morning to viewing
ma t.v screen,
only to have visions
that my pasture will
be green.
That time shall come
i shall no longer
beg,
my abusers will even
kneel to kiss my
leg.

Such an affection
from the God i
serve,
even though i don't
really deserve.
Father, of you am so
proud,
that's why i've to
write this piece
aloud.

Missing My Mistress

Hush! when will this
plane land?
just need my
mistress around.
Since two, have been
sitted in this
arriva',
hungry to see her
just swallowing
saliva.

Stretching my neck
to look,
as if to say am
reading a book.
To God, this is no
fun,
am just like a man
on the run.

Champagne shall we
pop,
drink, eat and leak
lollipop.
Am in love with this
my mistress,
even in trouble or
distress.

dedicated 2 Joy:

Wishes Upon Me

Some wish upon me
death,
when some wish upon
me breath.
Some wish i have
little hope,
but with God i still
cope.
Some wished i go
hungry everyday,
but i still struggle
to get the normal
pay.
My parent wish upon
me Jahbless,
and i promise they
shall live to be
impress'.

Some wished me a
better home-alone,
while some wished
upon me war-zone'.
Some wished God's
blessing pass me
like party rice,
but i still pray for
better days and for
sunrise.
Some wish me stones
for food,
while some wish me
bread and butter in
my hood.
Some wish upon me a
good partner for a
wife,
while some wish me a
nagging one as a
knife.

Some wish upon me
ill luck,
even though
ill-wishes suck.
Some wished upon me
fulfilled blessings,
where all my haters
will learn their
lessons.
Some wished me no
maternal love,
but am sorry, have
gotten the real
affection from God.
