Alot of Good the Sixties Did

Do I have to talk about death for you to listen?
Do I have to scream for you to hear?
Why should I tell you life's secrets
When all that's left is to destroy.

Everything is calculated,
In it's place and time.
All of you is sold or traded
Down to the last dime.

Scarred

I hate the scars
            I live with
                         But they're mine.

To struggle inside of this shell
                                       Is just fine.

Can't tell you where
                       I'm going,
And a little hazy about where I've been.

Just want to make it through a day without pain.
Want you to hold me
And tell me I'm not insane.
