I'Ve Lost My Mind

Have you seen it
I must have set it somewhere
Maybe it seeped outta my ears
And it's drizzled all around

Don't use it
You'll torture yourself
It's all stressed out
Oh yea, it has some filth

Fellow Poets

I age without guilt
Life has treated me well
I have written many poems
So many stories to tell

I'll keep on writing
Till I can type no more
My eyes go blind
My muscles are sore

I live each moment
Be it happy or sad
And I must tell you
There's nothing I've never had

Some want money
Some want fame
I just want the world to remember
Life is not a game

Will I be here tomorrow
Yes, probably so
With that said
I just want you all to know

I enjoy all your poetry
Talent is everywhere
Keep writing forever
Show the world you care

The Eye

Winds came with no warning

Vicious sound of voices whipping in circles

I struggle to shelter the needy

And in a flash-I'm gone

I'm in the eye of the hurricane

I see what others have closed their eyes to

I feel the volume of force that life gives us

Endlessly waiting to be thrown out

You hear what you want

But you cannot see the voice

It remains a mystery in your mind.

Chaos is twirling around

Something I had is lost

Lost in someone else's neglect

Scattered endlessly throughout the miles

Distance that will be unreachable to repair

The hardest moment is letting go

Even harder, is the pieces left in ones memories

Remorse catches you when you walk slow

Speed brings a faster ability to be sheltered

Unless you like the loneliness of the eye

I'M Only Loving You Once

Because I'm only loving you once
I want to make it perfectly clear
No one can take that away from me
And it's a life of fear

I'm only loving you once
Forever in this life of pain
Death would solve this problem
For there is nothing left to gain

I'm only loving you once
Too bad you can't love me
If you could only love me once
We'd love through all eternity

The Poison

A sorrow and a diminish
That has set before my eyes
He says,"It's nothing to worry about"
Yet he doesn't know I can see with his eyes
His heart
And his revenge
I see his love for a woman
For which it is not me
I see he sees me as a small child
Perhaps a toy for his fun and games
I cry at night screaming
Why must he do this to me every night
My heart crashes to the ground
As the knife before my eyes is his own
Why doesn't he see
The pain and anguish I suffer each day
But he knows me too well
He knows I will never leave him
Because he is the blood that flows through my heart
Yet it is a poison with the scent of death
A poison that knows
I will never leave him
A poison that knows
He is overpowering me
And yet they say till death do us part
Death do us part

Loving the Untouchable

My eyes tear
For a man I cannot touch
My hands are empty
For a walk I craved so much

My mind sees visions
Memories from the past
My heart feels nothing anymore
It remains solid as a cast

A silhouette in the distance
For if you can touch it, the shadow is gone
The scent of a man or woman
Is something that lingers on

Loving the untouchable
Something we all tend to do
It keep our dreams alive
While facing reality too

Sexual Harassment

Hand me your policies
I'll take a gander
Sexual harassment not allowed
Neither is slander

What a boring place
Let's be politically correct
Offend everyone
Or show them neglect

Make up my mind
There's work to do
Touching below the shoulders
Is sexual harassment too.

The world is full of
People with low self-esteem
Get a grip people
Not everything is what it seems

Physical Features

Why do you judge others by features
you can only see
Everyone is different
That's the way we are suppose to be

If you think I have wrinkles now
Just wait till I get old
Beauty is all your looking for
I am not a timeless mold

I'll need dentures
With the rest of the female bloodline
But I know what I'm made of
My heart is all mine

I stand tall
A simple 5'8"
One hundred and twenty six pounds
Is perfect weight

I have golden red hair
I thank my mother for
I look pretty good for forty
You insult me no more

I am a cancer survivor
Been on more drugs than you can count
I have a will to live
Hatred never mounts

When you see
Who I am, not what I was
You will be the one crying
Just because...

You judged my physical features.

Nathan (Son-In-Law To Be)

You are a true

Inspiration to all

That miles cannot separate

A love meant to be

May you find

Happiness within our family

For we have found

Happiness with you

Your wife

The Army

The mistress

My daughter in waiting

I know

You will

Protect us all

Please protect her first

I am proud

Of you

For all you are

All you will become

Your patience

Is profound

May it continue

With each step you take

So, with my blessing

I will tearfully

Let my daughter

Go to you

To start

A new life

Live

A new adventure

All my love

Thank You To My Ex-Husband

Although things have changed
Over the many years
I just wanted the world to know
I have happy tears

The pain and suffering
That I have for years buried
Your hatred and revenge
For this day you have carried

I have you in my thoughts
In everything I do
You made me a stronger woman
And I Thank You

I use my side mirrors
Every time I'm in reverse
When a vehicle breaks down
Your lessons I rehearse

WD-40 is the lube
You taught me would work
On just about everything
That had a troublesome quirk

Patience is something
We had all along
But perservance through our fighting
Proves your intentions weren't all wrong

My job was to care for children
Make their days complete
I am now a mother
To all youth that I meet

We chose different paths
Our children too
You degrade me still
And I Thank You

You just made me
Stronger than I was before
Knowing that I have matured enough
To learn insults gain love no more

You taught me things
From being gone so long
I had no choice
But to be independant and strong

Beauty is in everyone
You target what you SEE
Not caring about what caused it
The difference between you and me

So, here I am
Devoted to all that is true
Letting the world know
I Thank You
