Mama is in the arms of Jesus;
how comforting to me
Mama is in the arms of Jesus
she is where I am longing to be
Mama is in the arms of Jesus
she feels no sorrow or pain Mama is in the arms of Jesus
she'll never walk on this earth again
Mama is in the arms of Jesus
He is her Heavenly Dad
Mama is in the arms of Jesus

a friend is a person who is always there
your joys and sorrows to share
they know you are not perfect but they love you just the same
you can tell a true friend and know they are not playing a game
when you tell some people something you might as well put it on tv
as they will tell others very quickly
they don't even check to see if the story is true
as long as it is something bad they can say about you
Jesus is the best friend I have ever had
he holds me when I am lonely and comforts me when I am sad
Jesus wants to be your friend,too
He will always be there for you

Is he just somebody you go to Church on Sunday to listen to?
and sit on that pew and wonder if he is ever going to get through
is he someone you would call if you or your Family got sick?
then it is please help Pastor please come quick
How about about the Pastor and what he needs from you
surely there is more to coming to Church than just to warm the pew
Pastor's have needs just like you and me
they need alot of encouragement,can't you see?
sometimes they are so tired they don't knw what to do
then you call for his help and he comes and Prays for you
I've seen our Pastor so sick he could hardly stand
yet he was at the pulpit with his Bible in his hand
I try to do all I can to make things in Church better
whether it is paying my tithes;sorting food or reading my Missioary letter
you say I can't do this or I cant do that
a baseball player can never make a home run if he doesn't swing the bat
so why not do your part whether it be in the nursery or in Sunday School?
you know your help is needed don't be stubborn like a mule
If you wonder why you aren't getting blessed like you think you should
get up and start doing God's will don't sit there like a piece of wood

In the Bible it says God made Heaven and Earth,and it was good
He gave us the ten commandments to live the way we should
In the Bible it tells of the lame made to walk;and the blind made to see
He explained that Salvation is for you and me
it says we should pray one for anohter
It also says we should honor our Father and Mother
children are being abandonded and abused
alot of the times they don't charge the accused
some Parents are being treated like dirt
Sometimes Families don'trealize their hurt

So many Blessings you give us each day
but we forget to thank you as we go on our way
we read evrything but the Bible and expect you always to be there
The way some of us act;it is a miracle that you even care
some think that going to Church is no big deal
you had better think again,hell is real
we can alwys chat with our frineds until the end of day
but when it comes to witnessing about Jesus's love we have nothing to say

he had the prettiesr hair I have ever seen
he made feel like a queen
when he called m e his little girl
I was the happiest woman in the world
he was not perfect his eyesight was dim
he let alcohol get the best of him
he could make my heart skip a beat
when I saw him wallking down the street
In his western hat;boots and a belt that said Van
I was so happy to have him hold my hand

when my friends ask me why I am smiling I just look at them and say
I am smiling because i am happy for Jesus took my sins away
they say I don't act like I used to do
I tell them they wouldn't either if they knew waht I knew
alot of people just want to criticize
I am so gald I am worthy in God's eyes
When I think of the things I use to do
I shout Jesus I Love you
I never thought of the conquences of the way I lived before
Thank God when he knockjed I opened the door

and asked him to bless you each step of the way
To bless the Fatherless and the poor widows;too
and that he would save the lost ,just like he did for you
there is no better way to start your day
than Praying and helping others along the way

I have been set free since Jesus died for me
I was not a slave as in the old days
but I was a slave to my sinful ways
How good to know someone cares
and my trials,tribulations,and joys he shares
I had no one to turn to
not even a freind that was true
So I ended up discouraged and blue
I have been beat black and blue,I hurt and I cried
but still the love of Jesus I denied
Oh what a fool I was,just listen to me
don't be foolish like I was come now and let Jesus from your sin set you free

I know it is not suppose to be me me me
but that was before Jesus from a world of sin set me free
It's all about God,who sent his own son
he doesn't want any to perish,no not one
I have never had a friend to love me so
and to a place called hell I didn't want to go
So wnen I realized my life was filled with sin
I Prayed and asked Jesus to come in
He came into my life and forgave my sin
I knew that with satan I could never win
I am so happy as I live day by day
I know I will see Jesus in Heaven one day
