Strong

The things in my life seem nothing more than a complex structure that I can no longer mold
or control.
I am a strong black woman in a world full of deception and criticism.
I am a strong black woman who cannot help to be independent, to have pride in myself.
I am a strong black woman who can understand the problems that we must face and overcome
to reach success.
The fact that I am all these things never ceases to amaze me but amazes others.
Amaze the ones who look down on me not because I possess all these qualities but because
I am black and a women in corporate America that I can stand on my own two feet and let
my opinions be heard.
Time have change this is no longer the 17th century where women must be seen but not heard.
This is no longer the 19th century where blacks must work on plantation and obey there
masters and be suppress from obtain any knowledge about the world.
I am a strong black women and I will fight to overcome all the barriers that surround not
only me but also other black women who feel suppress.
Fight to overcome the hatred, racism and male dominance that are placed not only in the
minds of adults but children that they cannot succeed unless they are a certain color or
gender.
I will fight for all those who can no longer fight for themselves.
As I unite the weak and make them strong with these powerful words of wisdom.
Words that they shall never forget “Strength lies within you and you must find the
courage to override all these hateful remarks to overcome your fears.”
Words that have made an impact in my life when I felt I was not strong enough.
I am a strong black women and I will conquer every challenge that passes by to take
control of my life.

Tears

Waterfalls
that are drizzling
down her cheeks.
 But she does not want
anyone to see. She does not want
anyone to see her true feelings. She tries
hard to find the truth that lies deep inside, within her
heart. But as she stares at the mirror nothing becomes clear.
All she sees is hate that she has for herself. All that reflects back is
the tears that she wipes each day that roll down her cold cheek.
As she fears the world and herself , she remains unseen.
She tries to depend on someone , but her heart would not allow that to
happen. She fears that in life that she will always be alone.
She fears, that with each teardrop, every person that she cares for
will disappear. All that she finds that is consistent in her life are
her emotions. She hides behind them. Teardrop after
Teardrop, she finds that the hatred she has for herself is
tearing her apart, piece by piece. She finds that she does not
need anyone but herself. She wonders throughout the
world not appreciating anything or anyone.
She finds that in the beginning she was always
alone. She now knows that in the
end it will be the same. As
teardrops drizzle down her
cheek, that no one will
never see, she finds that
she is truly
 alone.

Music

The rhythm ,and the beats are a part of my heart.
The words , the words of pain, sorrow, guilt, love help me to explain the
emotions I am feeling.
The pain and sorrow connects to my mind like a string to a guitar.
The melody relates to the beat of my heart.
The feeling of love and happiness plays and plays a sweet tune that passes
through my ears.
As it plays and plays, all I can do is combine the melody and rhythm throughout
my mind connecting words to the emotions that I feel inside.
As words of anger ,sadness, love and happiness pour out onto the page, all I
can is think about the music.
How I can feel all the tunes that are running through my veins?
A song, a song is but all that remains .
A song of sorrow, happiness and love relates to the feeling that I try to hide.
But in a song my emotions appear clear.
In a song, all I can hear is the melody ,beats, and rhythm that convey my
emotions to no one but me.
As the rhythms, beats, and melodies stop, all I am left with is the emotions that
stay hidden deep inside.
Where no one but me understands the rhythm to my life.

Unlimited Circumstances

Time is as precious as life but people seem to forget that.
We live in a world where consideration, compassion and love are spoken rarely.
A world where hatred, pain and violence are uttered through every child’s mouth.
Time is all that we have control over; instead, we choose to belittle ourselves with words
such as stupid, ugly or even words that are demeaning to one’s character.
We find ourselves forgetting that words are an expression, and reflection of who we are.
Instead of encouraging our children to be strong, powerful leaders, we tell them that an
education is not the only means to success.
Instead of shedding tears, we should become strong influential people encouraging not only
our children but also our adults.
Time is precious and rare that others neglect, neglect time because they neglect themselves.

My Life Is Empty As This Page

Time has passed but things remain the same.
No change all that remains is my thoughts in my mind that's driving me insane.
I thought that as time progress things would change and wouldn't remain the
same.
But yet, while I walk down the dark path all I can see is the pain and suffering
time has brought me.
I try and try to change as time passes everyday but no success I seem to bring.
Time has passed but things remain the same.
It shows that my life is empty as this page and time can never change.
