Sarah Hodgson Poem
halfway to heaven
on the border to hell
here on the surface
condemned to dwell
floating in limbo
perched in oblivion
false gaiety blocking
and scarring my vision
life is x marked by destiny
the path obscured by today
two roads diverge
but i chose neither way
expression is freedom
and choice is divine
both strictly governed
by place and by time

Sarah Hodgson Poem
Coursing, pulsing, breaking through
Red water fills her veins anew
A liquid life to guarantee
That she is as human as he
She draws the blade across the skin
Digging deep to sink it in
Her gesture brings a sudden flood
Red water, life, her very blood
Pooling dark upon the floor
Her foot holds still the swinging door
He enters slow and cries in vain
Red water spilled like pooling rain

Sarah Hodgson Poem
she is a thief
she takes from you
and never returns
speak and you are unprotected
she makes no moves
she'll do you no harm
but simply aborbs your words
and stores them to be recalled
your memories and imagination
your hopes and dreams
your sorrows and losses
you'll never even know they're gone
you'll have nothing back from her
never take glory from fame that is rightfully yours
words that escape through her pilfering lips
will give no credit to your name
she is a thief
watch for her
say nothing
lose nothing

Sarah Hodgson Poem
Sorrow sprung from parting
Rejection seals the deal
Words that were not spoken
For me you did not feel
Silence calms the cloud of dust
You took flight, fine and free
Leaving me to wallow
In a realm of misery
If time does fix the wounds I have
It shall be a long ordeal
For the broken parts of mind and soul
Need eternity to heal

Sarah Hodgson Poem
I close my eyes to hide from yours
And wish it all away
To go back and close the opened doors
And remove what I did say
That would be the better way
The path I did not choose
For in the end I always pick
The one that I will lose
And even though I think about
An altering of the past
I know the good he's given me
Is something built to last
So reason will not steer the course
I'll break myself to gain
Because through torture comes once more
The pleasure laced with pain.
