Going To the Moon

i'm going to the moon tonight
in a boat with big white sails
and you can come too if you want too
              just the two of us
in a boat with big white sails
              going to the moon
we'll sit real close and huggle to keep warm
and i'll sing for you if you want me too

You and Me

there I was just being me
there you were just being you
                     and that was fine
I mean you being you and me being me
                     that was fine

as I remember, you were drinking tea
                    and I was not
and you said there was something that you had forgot
forgot to do before you were done
done being you and no one else

I then asked what ever could that be
that you had forgot to do
before you were done being and no one else
and you said not to worry as you were you
                    and I was not

Kiss

i am sending you a kiss
that will land on your knee
climb up your leg
scramble over your back
and hide in your hair

then when you are about to fall asleep
it will bite you gently on your neck
and whisper in your ear
i love you

Two Selves

two very old selves lived in an very old house
and on one day self one turned to self two and said
“I love you”
self two didn’t even nod its head
“did you hear me? self one then said
“what?” asked self two now seeing self one
“I said did you hear me”
“what my dear”
I said “did you hear me”
said self one now hopping up and down and pulling its hair
“I can’t hear you dear you shall have to speak up” said self two
and then self one grabbed self two and speaking right into self two’s ear said
 “I love you”
“Oh that’s nice” said self two
“I love you too”

I Am a Flute

I am a flute
a man with a beard plays me
and we make tender music together
his eyes sparkle when he plays
and his eyebrows go up and down with the notes
his beard tickles
but I keep making notes for him
oh such notes
they would make you cry
and then a part comes in the music
where we dance
he holds me so tightly as we dance
I know he loves me
around and around the room we dance
him and me
all eyes are on us
everyone is listening
to us

Vine

there is a vine under my window
and it is trying real hard to climb into my room
i don’t want that vine in my room
but if it can do it
i won’t stop it

The Unknown

some things are so beautiful
that the soul so sensitive stops
nothing else matters
for here is a touch of the unknown
felt but never to be known

Certain Notes

there are certain notes
that make me crazy in the head
i don’t know why
only certain notes do it
but it feels good
to be crazy in the head
as long as I can hear these certain notes

now these notes they
stop me altogether
and make me
feel
really really small
they are the most beautiful of the notes
that make me crazy in the head
and these notes
don’t mind
that I’m small or not

Angel

There’s an angel hovering about my head waiting for me to die
It’s got long curly brown hair and bright blue eyes
It keeps staring at me and glancing at the clock
I think it is eager for me to die
 But I’m not gone too
 Not today
