Black Statistic

I will not be another black statistic
Selling ny body to get money for clothes
Going around being preppy when everyone knows
Doing my best so I don't get called a hoe
In this life I'm living there's no joke
Trying to be beautiful when the world puts you down
Killing myself inside without making a sound
Pushing away the love ones all around
No I will not be a part of that crowd
Using weed and drugs to solve all my problems
Blaming God because he had a better plan
Being angry at myself because I had another chance
Hating life because I'm still in it's dance
Constantly being abused because of my female pride
Waking up every morning praying to die
Putting a smile on while I'm crying and shouting inside
Looking at them and asking why
Yes I refuse to be that black statistic
I plan to be great
President of the state
Learn how to bake
Having a clean slate
reping God to the fullest
being a Christien is the truest
with God I won't go balistic
Yes I'll be that kind of statistic

House of Secrets: Love Lost

It was love at first sight when it appeared
The house was beautiful in it's dark color
We had a connection that lasted three years
I started calling it sexy brother

The house had many keys to open doors
But there were way too many doors for keys
This house had a lot of levels and floors
I wish I could open it all and see

I tried and tried but could never get through
These doors were sealed up tightly with bolts in
I revealed myself, you reveal yours too
or I will leave, leave this house in ruins

So goodbye I say, while walking away
from another good house of secrets that stay

Goodbye

Seconds seem like hours
as I watch the constant movement outside
annoyed by faces of loved ones
speaking to me and awaiting a response
screaming at the top of my lungs
only to find out that noone around hears me
As this world fades away I can manage to get one word out
                           Goodbye
