A Father's Love

A father's love is like no other
It is indescribable just like a mothers.
But yet it is different,
Both beautiful and brilliant.

A father's main job
Is to protect and love his children and wife.
My father would do anything for us,
Even risk his own life.

A father's love is undeniable,
Not easily obtained.
Something that many people don't have,
But I'm proud to say I have mine claimed.

A husband's job is to respect his wife
And my dad respects that rule.
When he treats my mother with respect,
I know he is no fool.

A father must also lead the family.
It says that in Genesis 18:19.
He must lead them to pray,
And to not let God go unseen.

You have always had faith in me
Since the day of my birth.
You are my protector,
And it is unexplainable, your worth.

Ephesians 5:25-33 says,
"Husbands love your wives just as Christ loved the church."
You do that with your wife
Along with your children,
The loves of your life.

Satan can't bring you down,
No matter how hard he tried.
He tries to discourage you,
Tries to make you lose your pride.

But you are stronger,
You ignore his words.
You just tune him out,
And act like he isn't heard.

You have loved me and protected me
Since day one.
There will never be a man that loves me more.
Your love will never be outdone.

You have fulfilled God's expectations
As a husband and a father.
I am so happy your my dad,
And I'm grateful to be your daughter.

You are my protector,
You save me from danger.
You always care for the safety of your family,
And that will never change.

A father's love is undeniable,
Something cherished and loved.
I thank God I have my father's love.
It is a gift from above.

I love you dad.
That's going to stay the same.
Your love and discipline has changed me,
And this is what I became.

A Mother's Love

Her words, her comfort,
It's not like any other.
Her touch is gentle, her words are kind,
It can only be my mother.

These days,
great moms are hard to find.
But I know I'm lucky,
because one of those great moms is mine.

It doesn't matter where I'm at,
she is always there.
I am blessed to say I have a loving mom
who genuinely cares.

Laughing or crying,
she is always by my side.
She has celebrated my accomplishments,
she has held me when I've cried.

Her love is like magic,
phenomenal and rare.
I know she loves me,
and I really, truly, care.

When I was born 13 years ago,
I was constantly sick
but I knew you would be there,
fast and quick.

Her smile is delicate and sweet
and her huge, loving heart
can't be beat.

I had my first surgery
when I was 9 months old.
You both were so worried,
but then you were relieved when you were told.

I was alive, I was healthy!
You were both happy as could be.
Praising God for letting you have number three.

Ever since the day of my birth,
You have been there.
And I have no price for how much that's worth.

A mothers love is unexplainable,
mothers are strong, mothers are sustainable.

Parenting is a team effort
between you and your spouse.
You two have done a great job
running our house.

A mothers love is cherished by me,
it is placed close to my heart.
I know if she loves me forever,
I will never fall apart.

Friendship

Angels are in heaven,
But they are also on Earth.
They aren't called angels, though.
They're called friends.

I'm extra lucky though,
Because God gave me the best ones.
Lexi, Angelica, Riley, Alec
I am blessed beyond measure.

Friends aren't just entertainment,
They are advice-givers.
They are shoulders to cry on,
They are always there.

Angelica is always there
She's sweet, she's kind.
She's one of the best,
And I'm glad she's in my life.

Lexi is funny and smart.
We have a lot in common.
She's a great advice-giver
And she's always there for me.

Riley has been there always.
We've been friends since she was a baby.
We're still really close
She's my longest friend.

Alec is the best boyfriend imaginable,
But he's also my best friend.
He's funny, he's sweet,
and he's always respected me.

These four friends are lifesavers,
Helping me in troubled times.
I love them all,
And they know it's true.

I would do anything for them,
And I know they would too.
Over the years I've learned,
Only certain friends are true.

I thank God for my friends,
They have helped me through so much.
Without them my life would be dull,
And I wouldn't have as much fun.

Thank you Lord for giving me
The best friends that could ever be.
They've always been there to help me,
To support me, to save me.

True friends are the ones who stay,
When everyone else has walked away.
They stand by your side, no matter what,
And they will never leave you alone.

My best friends are amazing.
I am so lucky I have them.
I don't know why they befriended me,
But I'm so glad they did!

Thanks again, Lord, for wonderful friends.
Thank you for letting them in my life,
Thank you for letting them stay.
Thank you, Lord, for my angels.

Alive

My heart is beating fast,
My adrenaline is surging.
I feel my pulse in my fingertips.
I am alive.

My senses are aware,
My brain is wide awake.
My eyes see the world's vibrant colors,
I am alive.

Nature's sounds are music to me.
The dripping of rain, the howl of wind,
The exotic sounds of animals,
I am alive.

My eyes see a variety of colors,
Blues, greens, purples, reds,
Each color has a different meaning,
I am alive.

My fingers feel many different textures,
Rough, soft, silky,
Each feeling is extraordinarily different.
I am alive.

I smell delicious scents.
Sweet roses, earthy rain.
Each scent brings my nose to life.
I am alive.

I feel Jesus in my heart
Protecting me, saving me from harm.
Because of his sacrifice,
I am alive.

I feel every light breeze,
I hear every whisper.
I feel like electricity.
I am alive.

My mind is buzzing,
My body is numb.
I feel every breath,
I am alive.

I can feel my families' love,
My friend's care.
Everyone's support,
I am alive.

My own feelings
Boil up inside me.
They feel like fire and ice,
I am alive.

My blood feels like lead,
Heavy and solid.
But yet I feel as light as a feather,
I am alive.

All of these feelings
Come to me when I'm with him.
I am filled with adrenaline,
I am alive.

Free

The wind is gentle
As it flows through my hair.
Right here, right now,
I feel that I don't have a care.

Life is so easy
When I'm out here.
It is too peaceful
For me to have fear.

The sun shines down on me,
It feels warm on my skin.
There is no more peaceful place
I have ever been.

I am standing in a field of flowers,
They are vibrant and colorful.
I know for sure I have never seen
Anything more beautiful.

How I feel right now,
Is like when the stars align.
Floating free and limitless,
But yet I still shine.

I feel weightless,
Like I'm on cloud 9.
Every nightmare is forgotten,
Everything feels just fine.

But then I wake up,
And my life is back to normal.
There's nothing to be excited about,
There's nothing abnormal.

Then I remember him,
Bringing brightness to my day.
Bringing sunlight into my world,
Ridding my skies of gray.

Then there's her, too.
My best friend.
Almost every day together,
Friends until the end.

Together these two rock my world.
They make every moment bright.
They save me from boredom,
Always keeping me in the light.

With them here,
The skies are never gray.
With them here,
I love every day.

They keep me afloat,
Like my life is a ship.
They never let me down,
They always keep their grip.

My dreams are controlled by me,
But my life is not.
But that's okay though,
Because they are the dreams I've got.

In my dreams I'm always free,
In real life, not at all.
But you're only as free as you let yourself be,
So I keep standing tall.
