Finding Me

In my pursuit of knowledge, I will define my destiny
Shedding the insulting notions that so many others have conceived
And remove the cloaks, which you have draped over me

In my pursuit of awareness, i will seek my true identity
Become things far greater than what the mortal eyes can see
The embodiment of courage, derived from my ancestry

In my pursuit of understanding I proudly pave my own path
I extinguish adversities, smothering its wrath
Navigating the obstacles that you erected my past

In my pursuit of wisdom, I remove the stain filled stigmas
Maneuvering the years of oppression, resolving the enigmas
My history empowers my pride, it doesn't interpret my dilemma

In my pursuit of perception, I defy the statistics
Fist clinched, pounding in the air, to shatter their ignorance
I battle unawareness with wisdom, the most profound form of vengeance

In my pursuit of insight, I seek to discover my origin
Retracing my roots back to the Motherland.
Dreaming of the home that I’ve never known, from which I descend

In my pursuit for consciousness, I right the wrongs of a painful legacy
I will rise from the remnants of your subjugation, bold and victoriously
Unscarred and unmarred I will stand triumphantly
In my pursuit of me

Higher Knowledge

I yearn for higher knowledge will you can be my institution.
Engrave all of your convictions into my constitution.
Rearrange my thoughts and eliminate my confusion.
See I don’t want all the answers I just need some solutions.
So settle my hazy mind like you’re clearing pollution
Correct the complications, so there will be no convolution
Tell me your prophecies; draw me to your conclusions
Distinguish fact from fiction, correct all of my delusions
Don’t need these uncertainties, give me your absolution
Let me journey through your mind seek your thoughts in full seclusion
I’ll preform Lyrical osmosis, absorb your mental evolution
Generate my understanding, be my insight’s revolution
Convert my philosophies and you can prove the unproven

Savor It

Come a little closer; let me feel your heart race
As I curve to your love, bodies perfectly interlaced
Sit at the head of my table; let your tongue say grace
Partake of my provisions, savoring its taste
Delight in its essence, no need for the haste
Arms around my hips, I’ll swerve to your embrace
I will follow your lead, as you set the pace
Until my passion melts onto your face
And relish in the pleasure of my sacred place

His Certainty

You are optical illusions
 I’m the realest reality
You offer the superficial
I give him all of me.
 You are so predictable
 I am intriguing
You leave him second guessing
   I always leave him believing
When I’m in his presence i want to do what I’m told
I submit to him completely
 You want total control
You try to change the rules
But he leads and i follow
You retrace his steps
 But I’ll be his apostle
You’re embedded in his doubts
 I am his certainty
You are blind to his ambitions
I want to see him live his dreams
You make him relive his past
 I magnify his potential
You tell him what he can’t
But I show him what he can do
I focus on his future
 you dwell on his past
you place obstacles before him
while i clear his paths
You show him false concern
 I prove that I care
You keep him in your circle
I keep him in my prayers
I make him remember who he is
 You make him forget
I’m en-laced in his pride
You’re the remnants of his regret.
I’m here for the long run
 You’re along for the ride
You want to fight against him
I will fight by his side
I am his ally
 You’re the opposition
When you've been forgotten
 I’ll still hold my position!!!
