Down, But Not Out

I don't have a place to call home, and I don't have
a car even though I wish on the first star of the night.

I may be down, but I'm not out.

I don't have my kids cause they were ripped from my arms,
but my love for them goes on without even a pause.

I may be down, but I'm not out.

I don't have a lot of money even though I work so very hard. But that don't really
matter cause I have love in my heart, and love can't be bought.

I may be down, but I'm not out.

I may not have a lot of material things,
and that's ok cause I'm down, but I'm not out!

Worth Fighting For

My life without you is cold
and blue, but what am I to do?

An order of no contact was given,
so I must abide even though I won’t
really be livin’ .

I will do everything in my power
right down to the last hour.

I will never give up;
They can push me around, and knock me to the ground,
but I will always get back up and say “I’m ready for the next round!”

I don’t know how many rounds I will
have to fight, but in the end they will say
 “It’s time to reunite.”

Up For Parole

It's been five years since you were put away, but it only seems like yesterday
that I found those pictures you had hidden away.

I don't know how you've spent the time and I really don't care,
but I know from your victims point of view, nothing could compare.

You exploited my little girls body for the world to see,
what a sick S.O.B you must be.

You were given twenty years in the state pen, and now you're up for parole;
instead you should be put in a hole, cause if you get out you'll just do it again.

Goodbye My Love

Goodbye my love, these are words
that I never wanted to say to you;
But you have bid me farewell.
So, I must say my goodbyes now
before I lose my nerve and become
a deep dark shell.
I know somewhere in your heart,
you love me as much as I love you,
now only time will tell.

Destiny

Horns and halos.
Roses and thorns.
Smiles and tears.
Love and hate.

We all have a date
with destiny; but
sometimes it takes
us our whole life to
find what we were
meant to find.

Hearts love and
hearts hate, but
one and all is
searching for our date.

I Am Only Me

I am only me, I can not be what you want me to be.
I have tried many times, but you see that’s just not me.
I have my own values, morals, and standards,
but you just won’t understand.
You have tried to change me into your perfect mate,
but that won’t change the chemistry of my fate.
I am what I am, and that’s all I can be,
so please stop trying to change me, cause I am only me.

Release Me

I love you; I do.
But you have said that we couldn’t be
together, so why won’t you release me?
I do not call you, I do not write you,
yet you still contact me.
If we can’t be together, you have to
let me go, you have to release me.
Don’t you understand that it kills me
over and over each time you say
“ I love you.”
Yes, I love you too, but what is
the sense in torturing ourselves?
I have waited two and a half years for
you to decide and choose me. You chose her
but yet you won’t release me. You are killing
me can’t you see? The choice has been made,
and now we have to live with that.
I’m not gonna lie to you, Yes, it hurts
like hell, and I feel like an empty shell.
I’m living in my own hell.
If you love me, you have to let me go,
you have to release me and let me fly free.
Can’t you see, you are killing me?
Please set me free, Release me.

The Mom I Should Have Had

You are the mom that I have always wanted, but never had.
You are the mom that makes me smile when I'm sad.
You have given me hope when all hope was lost.
You opened my eyes to see what a true mom is like at no cost.
You have given me more than I could ever repay,
but I will do my best to find a way.
I will love you forever and a day. You have a place in my heart,
and there you will stay.

Written for the mom I should have had.
I love you mom - AKA- Beverly F.

Our Friend Anthony

A nytime you need a smile or an encouraging word he is there for you.

N ew faces he sees everyday and never turns not even one away.

T imes are tough for him as well as us, and not many give him the credit he
deserves.

H e spends his day in the kitchen preparing meals for the hungry, and cleaning
the dishes so he can do it all again.

O ften he is too tired to feed himself, but he still manages to keep three
wonderful meals on the table to make sure we aren't hungry.

N oone sees all that he does for everyone, and it's all without complaint. All
people see is that there is food for them to eat. Some are rude, crude, mean, and
hateful, but their belly still gets full.

Y ou are one in a million, and I for one am very thankful to have met you.

Thank you for everything Anthony!

So Blind

How can you be so blind not to
see losing you is hurting me?
You think you are the only one
n pain cause you’re losing me as your wife.
But, can’t you see, I’m in pain too;
I’m losing the best friend of my life
cause I can’t be your wife.
You don’t want to lose me,
and I don’t want to lose you;
But to ourselves we have to be true.
We have to start new.
Please open your eyes and realize
we just weren’t meant to be
husband and wife, you and me.
