Embrace My Dreams

Can't seem to hold it in
Don't want to hide it anymore
Have to let it show
Let them all know
What's in my heart

I don't care what they think
Don't want to be caught in the drama
Can't let the chaos get the best of me
Must take a hold of my life

Don't want to be caged up
While the world passes by
Like the majestic dragonfly
It's time I open the door

With my own strength
To unlock the lock
Setting me free to take flight
To go off to find my happiness

If the world finds me strange
I'll take is as a compliment
Your words just make me strong
You'll never chip my soul

Don't tell me what path to take
Only I choose my own road
Obstacles that come my way
I have to learn to overcome

Mistakes can be corrected
Seeking answers to questions
A Person must grow on their own
Facing their own battles
That people don't understand

Can't let the chains of oppression
Bring me down in depression
Only I can break free of the constraints
If I wish to embrace my destiny

Let the world deal with their issues
I won't let the dissonance get me
Have to focus on the task at hand
Embracing my dreams by letting go

Unity Against Tyranny

A country in turmoil
An imposter sits on the throne
From the moment he takes office
Stripping our rights away like a banana
Leaving us slipping on the peels
Trying to figure out what the Hell to do.

Workers vanish from the crop fields,
who will harvest the produce?
Pulled from WHO and essential health research,
how will we know of the next pandemic,
let alone saving lives from cancer?

What about the funds that help schools and veterans?
How will people pay for education, let alone their groceries?
What about the safety of LGBTQ and diversity with no protection
in the workplaces that don't tolerate discrimination or to get a job because of your nationality?

How will anyone get by if he keeps making monstrous demands?
How will anyone survive the onslaught that's to come?
How will anyone tell what's true or false when you can't believe the media?
How will anyone face tomorrow if there is no tomorrow because of him?
How will the country's future pull through with him behind the wheel?

Enough is enough!

Are we going to watch Hell unfold before our eyes
As the days pass by while the grass starts to wither?
Our country will shrivel up like jerky in an air fryer
If we don't take action against this dictator.

He is a threat to our existence
A killer of dreams
A demon lord of nightmares
Who spreads chaos and despair.

Don't let this Dick intimidate you
He may masquerade as a president,
but he isn't OUR leader.
He's a traitor to the United States of America.

He may have power and money, but he lacks a soul
He's a demon donning tan flesh topped with a moppy wig
He, along with his Council of Doom, should fear us
For it is the people who hold true power.

So open your eyes!
Chaos is unfolding before you!
Those who betrayed your fellow Americans,
see the damage you've wrecked
voting this dick-tator into office!

Only by coming together as a nation, as a country
Standing united as one against this threat
For you can't spell united in United States without 'U'
We are the United States of America
And its time we show how united we truly are!

Raise your swords
Raise your pens
Raise your hands
Raise your voices!

Now is the time to take action!
Now is the time for a revolution
Now is the time to stand up!
Now is the time to fight!

Fight for your freedom
Fight for your rights
Fight for your children
Fight for your future
Fight for your lives!

Ode To Adhd

Attention Defeceit Hyperactive Disorder
Split the letters out of the words
You get ADHD out of them
Let's take a closer look
Find out another meaning
To the condition.

A is for achiever
Accomplishments with honors
Passing with flying colors
A confident being with spunk.

D is for diligent
Quick on your feet
Sharp as a tack
Ready for the challenge
To take on tasks
And complete them right away.

H is for hope
Keeping the faith
Looking at the bright side
Turn things around
Hanging onto your dreams
Working to make them true.

D is for dynamic
A real go-getter
You get back up
When you fall
Not taking no
For an answer.

ADHD
ADD
AHD
DHD
HD
D
A

No matter how you spell it
Nor how you may look at it
It has many meanings
You take a closer look
And play around with the words.

Life Is a Tomato

Life is a stage
We are the performers
Giving it our all
For some-success
Others-epic fail.

Mockery speaks as tomatoes fly
Covering those that failed
Yet instead of moaning
They wipe the juice off their faces.

When life gives you tomatoes
You wipe it off your face
And make a pizza out of it
It tastes delicious each time
You keep trying to perform your best.

Is This Me

I look at myself in the puddle
That laid just below my feet
Yet when I look at the watery mirror
I see a different reflection of myself.

The person in the reflection
Is a different person of confidence
Someone that is brave and bold
With a bright smile on her face.

She has her head held high
Ready to take on the world
Looking toward a bright future
As she leaves tomorrow behind.

When I look down at her,
Is she looking up at me?
Am I just the tails of the coin,
While she is the head?

Am I just a figment
Of what I was before
That this reflection
Is the aftermath of growth?

Could this be who I am?
Is this woman the real me?
The me I am meant to be?
Or a possible me?

Yet when I looked closely
I could see that the one
Staring back at me
With a confidence smile
Was me...I am that woman.

The reflection in the puddle
Is the me that I am
The one with a smile on her face
Filled with bravery and confidence.

The real me, a figment
I am one and the same
In reality and in the puddle
This is the real me.

Bonds Between Worlds

I'm a dragonfly
Who flies alone
Yet in life
This dragonfly
Wants to fly
In a group than solo.

Though there are times
I want to be alone
To be with my thoughts
Have some serenity
But what is harmony
Without discord?

I envy the people in reality
Who have somebody to be with
A pack to run off on wild adventures
I just wish they could invite me
Along for the ride-even if it was for a day
To feel like that I belong with them.

I want to connect to people
But it's tough to form a bond
Like tying together a rope
To make a perfect knot
When I try to make one
It just looks distorted.

Is it because of my ADHD?
Is it because of my uniqueness?
Is it because I cling too much?
Maybe it isn't because they don't
See through the shell of a clam
To see the beautiful pearl within.

Reality can be tricky
Digitality is much easy
For I know I have people
Here in the digital world
Who welcome me with open arms
There for me if I ever feel down.

But Reality isn't bad either
For as an old saying goes
Your more happier with few
Than having thousands of friends
Because those closest to you
Will always have your back.

That goes for Digitality
The friends that I have
Will always be there for you
No matter if you live a part
Because their close in my heart.

Sometimes I am clouded with doubt
Caught in a sea of despair
When thinking such lonesome thoughts
But there is a hand reaching in
To bring me back to the Land of Happiness
Because my friends are with me.

Maybe I think too much on loneliness
In the real world to realize that
I have bonds with a few in reality
That are close to me just as the bonds
Of those in digitality are to me
I have a web of bonds without knowing myself.

The Web of bonds that trascend
The two worlds of reality and digitality
I've made a bond with incredible people
Who enjoy my company as I enjoy theirs
The times we spend together are precious in reality
Just as the times in digitality are also precious.

This dragonfly isn't alone
I have my own flock to fly with
Even if their far away from her home
With a few nearby to converse
I'm happy to know that I have friends
In Reality and Digitality.

Summer Memories

Summer is fleeting
Vacation is ending
Festivals are passing
Season is changing.

Warmth begins to wind down
As Autumn slowly creeps
Leaves slowly change colors
Lavishing in gold
As they part from branches.

Though summer is going
Something is staying
That will hold to heart
For years to come.

Placing feet in the water
Feeling the coolness sweep
Across our ankles so high
As we stare off at the sky.

The rainy days
Thundrous nights
Hail struck down
Golf balls from the sky.

Ferris wheel that I rode
As the fog swept through
Adding a mysterious atmosphere
As it shrouded the shoreline.

The fun we had at the meetup
Dressing up at Veteran's Park
Acting crazy and silly
Just being ourselves.

Birthdays celebrated
Friendships honored
Bonds strengthened
Trials beated

Though summer is ending
As the seasons are changing
Yet the memories created
Will never be shaded.

Gaslighting Asshole

Your nothing, but a liar
Your nothing, but a home wrecker
Your nothing, but a dick
Your nothing, but a lazy asshole
Your nothing, but a narcissist.

You think your right all the time
You think that emotions don't matter
You think that you can toy with me
You think you can forget what's said?
You think you can blow it off?

Think you can whistle your annoying tune
It pisses me the hell off when I hear it
When you think everything is okay
But in reality, its not fine
Why won't you get it through your skull?

Who gives you the right
To make your family miserable?
Keep throwing stuff from the past
To make us feel like crap?
What kind of father does that?

When I speak the truth
You can't process it
Your brain and heart
Just don't connect
To your hollow soul.

I can't say I love you
I can't say I hate you
But I can say this to you
My feelings for you
Are null and void
You can say its debating.

When a man loses
The respect of his family
He loses his respect in himself
But do you even got respect?
Do you know what it means
To be a family?

Family is teamwork
Family is togetherness
But when only half
Does all the work
That keeps it together
Do you call that being a family?

I'm tired of your laziness
I'm tired of your ego
I'm tired of your attitude
I'm tired of your crap
I'm tired of your presence
I'm tired of your accusations.

You got a problem
With people having emotions?
You got a problem
With what I'm saying?
You got a problem
With learning the truth?

Your nothing, but a doormat
A yes man that wants
To make people happy
By sacrificing his own happiness
But its the very opposite.

You sacrifice our happiness
To try to have your own
By being a lazy asshole
Leaving half the day
Morning, Noon, Night
Then sleep all day.

You promised me that you'd change
But you lied right to my face
You lied with your actions
You don't want to improve
Your afraid to try to change
Your nothing but a lying coward.

Why are you still around?
Why not move away?
Why not just disappear?
Why not leave us be?

You don't got no hobbies
You spend your time
On your phone nonstop
You go off to get coffee
Then make it at home.

You spend time outside
You spend your time
In your bedroom
Watching your stupid
Oldies programs on eternal loop.

I'm ashamed to be related
I'm embarassed to be related
I'm disappointed to be related
To a gaslightning asshole of a father.

I'M Thankful

Thanksgiving is a day
To be thankful for all
That we have in life
With those that we love.

I'm thankful for my family
For being there for me
Always there to help
Supportive and loving.

I'm thankful for my friends
Whom I'm happy to have met
That brought joy and light
To my life as I did for them.

I'm thankful for music
That cheers me up when blue
Inspires and moves me
To help my creativity flow.

I'm thankful for life
Although there are storm clouds
The sun shines through them
To bring light to the world.

Those are the things
I'm quite thankful for
On this glorious Thanksgiving
Especially the delicious turkey.

Can'T Break Me

Out of the darkness
Struck like a lightning bolt
He came without warning
Like a lion striking his prey.

He may have my purse
Took all that I had with me,
But you can't take my pride
You can't break my spirit.

Though in a state of shock and horror
I know that I'll recover
For time heals all wounds
The piper will pay the price.

I'll keep my head high
Keep looking for tomorrow
Growing stronger and being wiser
From the trauma that I've faced.

I won't let it happen
I'll be on my guard
For like the strongest steel
You won't break me.
