A Mother's Touch

Dedicated to my loving mother on her birthday!

In this cruel world today
Being a mother is the hardest work
Always being friendly and helpful
Always smiling and ready with a hug or kiss!

A mother’s touch heals all life’s problems
She gives strength in the weakest times
She gives hope in the lowest moments
She always loves you no matter what!

Being a Mother myself
I can now see and appreciate all she has done
I now know the hardship and love she felt
I know the tremendous sacrifice she has made!

I can only hope
To one day make her proud
To be the kind of mother she was to me
Standing in her footsteps is the hardest thing to do!

A Daugter's Prayer

Dear Lord

Thank you for giving me the mother I had
Thank you for always helping her
Thank you for making her so sweet
For her unconditional love
Her kind spirit and gentle words.

Thank you Lord for the time we had
All the good times and the bad
Dear Lord you know the pain I have
The longing for her everyday
I know you need her now.

There was so much I still
Wanted to say and do
Dear Lord I ask you now
To please help me through
Take good care of her

My Mother whom I loved so…..

This poem is in remembrance of my mother-in-law.
I dedicate this to my sister-in-law.

Love'struest Form

Grief brought me down
Anger and Hate filled my vines
“O” Lord how could Thy take my only love
Over rocky paths we have come
The blooming of our love has just begun!

I heard God speak:
“O” Child of mine
We both loved him divine
The time has come for other things
For now you know love’s truest form!

On that day my grief did end
For God gave me the strength
My faith in Him I did restore
Now a new love blooms ashore!

His Children

We watch from across the room
Their joyful faces shining like stars
Their smiles broader than any ocean
Given to us as a gift.

We watch from across the room
We see love in their hearts
We see peace in their minds
Given to us to raise.

We watch from across the room
We teach them about life
We teach them from Your Word
Given to us by You.

We watch from across the room
We see them all grown-up
You come and take them
They are Your children

We watch from across the room
They are gone, the pain immense
But You are still there
Come to help us through.

Christmas Time

As the wind blows past His window
And the loving sun shines upon His pretty face,
He feels a funny kind of joy
And He knows today is going to be special.

He gets up every morning knowing what the day will bring
He tries to fill His life with happiness,
He lives for the joy He brings
He’s never without a smile.

He is not famous for his work or money He owns
The children of the world knows Him for the joy He brings,
He only comes once a year, He’s never late
He’s not real, but who cares.

He will come every year until the end of time
He will not let us forget
It’s a time for love and sharing
A time for caring for all.

It’s Christmas Time
We must never forget
What Christmas stands for
We must never forget

The love
The sacrifice
The Father
The Son

Roads of War

I see tanks rolling down the street
Leaving clouds of dust at our feet.
I see marching men following close behind
Fathers, sons and brothers all out of their minds.
I see mothers, daughters, sisters crying alon.

Come fight, our goverment says, come fight
Your country needs you, what a sight.
Who asked for this war, did we?
It is wrong, can't you see?
It's nothing but a massacre, killing thousands!

All people say: "We want peace!"
If this is so let the fighting cease.
Who decides what's worng or right
Presidents decide what's black and white.
Bullets passing by, bombs lighting up the night sky!

Look and see, open your eyes
Our men are dying, say your goodbyes.
Fel your body going cold, blood gushing through the holes
The war has come to our homes, we have sold our souls.
What for we ask?

Please hear us now.

Stop the wars!!!

Little Girls

God made me a little girl
He gave me two hands and two feet.
He gave me two eyes, a mouth and nose
God made me perfect in every way.

God made me a little girl
He gave me the ability to see and speak.
He gave me the ability to think and love
God made me perfect in every way.

God made me a little girl
He gave me parents and teachers.
He gave me talents and taught me to use them
God made me perfect in every way.

God made me a little girl
He gave me His love and His word.
He gave me Faith, Trust and Hope
God made me perfect in every way.
